Just that really. What is the meaning behind/origin of your username?
I’ll go first: mine is based on the name of a holiday home I visited many years ago now.

And do you sometimes lie awake, alone, regretting some foolish thing, some sinful thing you've done?? 😇

All the time Grin
(Apart from alone. There’s always a husband, a child, a cat or a combination of the three with me!)

Stoppissingonmyfuckingheather · 09/11/2022 10:39

Should think it is pretty obvious

DimplesToadfoot · 09/11/2022 10:46

It's my Hobbit name.

I put my real name into a 'what's your Hobbit name' generator and this came up.

Eyesofdisarray · 09/11/2022 10:46

From a line from a favourite song

3kidsaremorethanenough · 09/11/2022 10:52

My mother in laws response when we told her I was pregnant with dd3!!

KnickerlessParsons · 09/11/2022 11:00

Because DSis and I used to think the name Nicholas Parsons was hilarious.

SweetSenorita · 09/11/2022 11:00

Mine comes from one of Abba's little known songs: Put on your White Sombrero (have a listen; the fabulously rich lead vocals in the first two verses explode when the soprano hits in the final verse).

It's about a woman deciding that a man is no longer right for her as he won't accept her as she is. Even so it's quite upbeat and not at all melancholy. She tells him to:

Go find a Sweet Senorita
Somebody meek
Who'll never speak
Harshly to you

And ... that's where it's from 😍

SomethingVexesThee · 09/11/2022 11:29

Mine's a line from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves

GirlInTheMirror27 · 09/11/2022 13:17

Michael Jackson song man in the mirror changed to girl in the mirror and the 27 is the day of the month I was born in. So if I wanna make a change

VanillaImpulse · 09/11/2022 13:23

I loved vanilla impulse and wish they'd bring it back!

ChrissieLatham · 09/11/2022 13:24

The name of one of my favourite characters in Prisoner Cell Block H!! Grin

GP?

Nurse or hospital doctor would be my guess.

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 09/11/2022 13:32

Because I say it at every morning before we leave for the school run. My other option was whatdoyoumeanyouvelostyourbloodyshoeitwashereasecondago, but thought it a bit long winded!

Thelnebriati · 09/11/2022 13:35

I have a movement disorder that makes people ask me if I'm drunk (but that is actually easier to manage after a tipple.)

I'm a Nanny (grandma variety) and Terry Pratchett is my favourite author so I'm named for one of the witches. There are lots of Discworld names on here

1001Daffodils · 09/11/2022 13:41

Queen, it's a lyric from "I'm going slightly mad"

Pretty much sums me up!

AuntieDickhead · 09/11/2022 13:43

On a thread recently someone said that relatives who insist on putting their own name on gift labels for children's presents (rather than "from Father Christmas) are dickheads.

The presents I buy my niblings are from me and are labelled as such. They aren't from FC.

If that means I'm a dickhead then I'm Auntie Dickhead!

Welshwabbit · 09/11/2022 13:44

I am Welsh. And a wabbit.

Welshwabbit · 09/11/2022 13:46

A Frida tour de force!

Welshwabbit · 09/11/2022 13:46

The above should have been in reply to @SweetSenorita

IncompleteSenten · 09/11/2022 13:47

I got distracted while signing up.

Sometime Nirvana/ grunge fan, sadly no longer a teenager.

continuousmonotonousbeep · 09/11/2022 13:48

subtitle from line of duty interview scenes

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 09/11/2022 13:50

My nan used to call me Mrs Danvers because I walked into rooms making no noise at all, she'd look up and I'd be there. Plus I love the way Judith Anderson dominates that film by gliding into a room and standing there looking icy.
