To wear this to a job interview?

I have a job interview and nothing that fits or looks right. I really like this dress. Is it too casual? It's a creative role, mid-manager level, NHS.
I have order stuff online but none of it looks right. Having had a baby and a pandemic, plus working from home, I have lost all touch with formal wear. Help!

Id wear it with some black tights, black court shoes and maybe a smart ish blazer jacket on top.

Can you button down the front of the dress or is it completely slit up the front? I think that would be my only reservation. Maybe not wear with those style boots either as it makes it a bit too informal. I like it though!

If the slit is as big as it looks then no, its not appropriate. I. Wouldn't say it was particularly appropriate but dtessing with black heels and a smart jacket should help

More interested in what creative role, mid-manager level, NHS could possibly mean! (‘Creative’ to me means the Arts world - am I just out of touch with modern vocabulary?)

I imagine it will be communications officer, or hospital charity lead. Something like that.

I think the dress is lovely and can easily be made interview appropriate.

I wore a very similar to my last three interviews. I was successful in all three

I wear black tights and flat shoes with mine (don't do heals).

Perfect! As pp's have said watch the shoes, I couldn't do courts personally though as my feet hate me.

Sew/pin up spilt if its high.

I might go for structured cardigan over as an option or just leave it?

I wouldn't wear anything with a slit to an interview.

I was going to say it looks exactly like something I'd wear for an nhs interview.
I loved wearing suits in London, a shame I can'f wear them any more and I always 'dress down' for interviews. Think dresses or just black trousers and a cardi. (I'm not mid management though, I'd grab the opportunity to put a blazer on for that.)

Add a smart Jacket or heavy cardigan jacket to it. I like the colours and lengths good too.

I’m a senior manager in the NHS and I wouldn’t dream of wearing that to an interview. It’s lovely, for the weekend or dinner with your friends but not a job interview.

It’s very loud, not formal at all. You could tone it down with tights, courts and a blazer but that slit is excessive. I think you need to revisit.

I wouldn't go adding court shoes or blazer, too dated.

Wear a coat if you need to but in the interview, the dress alone is fine.

Shoes-wise, flats are best.

Along with being appropriate for an interview, wearing something you are comfortable in that gives you confidence is most important.

No it has a slit. I wouldnt be wearing that to an interview. I guess it depends what level you are going for , is it higher management?

Agree. It is too colourfula nd the slit makes it informal. I think its a weekend dress or one for hanging out with mates, coffee in the park etc
