To ask what you do if you earn £18-22 per hour?

£18-£22 per hour is about £35-40k per year.

If this is your hourly rate can I ask what you do?

I have a feeling there will be a whole spectrum of jobs from shop supervisor to cleaner to call centre to teacher to nurse.

Purely asking out of curiosity to see the range and possibly the education level you'd need to earn this. Maybe say if you have a degree or not.

Just came on to point out that £20 ph is very different if you're employed or self employed. If you're employed (especially with public sector pension) you can add on about 30-50% for your pension/holiday/sick pay. If you're employed in private sector you can add on about 10%.

I've no idea how much I earn an hour, never thought to work it out. I'm a university lecturer in STEM and I earn £58.5K, on top of which I do external examining for a different university for which I'm paid and I run a small business with income from that being variable, so without the two extras it's probably about £28.50 an hour.
