To think I'm having the worst night ever

Been talking to this guy for a few months. Went from a flirty tone to a sort of pally tone over the months. He has recently moved to my city. So last night after having a bottle Blush of wine I decided it was a good idea to suggest I go to his flat. He agreed and over I went.

When I got there there was definitely no chemistry other than friends so that was fine. Stayed for an hour and a half then said my goodbyes. However was literally impossible to get a taxi, all saying they were taking ages and my eyes were shutting on his sofa

He suggested I stayed so I said okay (I still wanted to fuck at this point and thought I was in with a change) however he took me into his bedroom which has two single beds. I am currently in one and he is currently snoring his head off in the other 🤣

I'm so affronted. I wish I'd just pushed to go home. Now if I decide to get up and go it will wake him up and be very awkward. Not to mention I am in a rough part of the city. But there's also no way I can sleep tonight and my dogs are at home alone. I'm so mad at myself for not just heading on home when I had the chance.

Re the single beds: the OP tells us that he’s just moved. So he might be renting and that’s how his room is furnished by the landlord, or he might be decorating the master bedroom, who knows? It doesn’t automatically make him weird.

Glad you got a taxi OP. You will laugh about this when you are out of the wine horrors. My reading of it is, you are feeling a bit rejected because he doesn’t fancy you, despite you engineering a visit to his flat. That will pass.

I’m not getting that from the post - more that “evening that didn’t end in sex but was otherwise uneventful” could be classed as the “worst night”

not sure about all the judge messages OP glad your home safe! it happens to the best of us sometimes you want a little rumble and it doesn't always work out or the vibe is off, don't beat yourself up.

God I'm so sick of all the nasty replies on MN lately. If you have nothing constructive or supportive to say don't drag everyone else down with you. I think it was fairly obvious OP was just having a crappy night and wanted a bit of sympathy. Clearly 'worst night ever' isn't meant to be literal.

If she want to casually shag her friends there is literally nothing wrong with that. Slut shaming her is horrible behaviour. I don't like casual sex either but it doesn't make me better than people who do. I don't see anywhere in the OP that she claims this guy is a horrible person - she just wishes she hadn't agreed to sleep over.

Glad you made it home safely, but honestly, this is far from a terrible night.

My worst night ever was when I was a very naive 17 year old, a 29 year old man that I knew who was friends with my parents invited me to come back to his parents place and watch a movie with him. 10 mins after the film started, he turned it off and raped me.

Consider yourself lucky that your worst night ever is just a bit of embarrassment.

Unable to get a cab so he offers you a bed to sleep in and then goes to sleep? I mean it doesn’t sound that terrible if I’m being totally honest.

You're taking it too literally. I don't think the OP means it was literally her worst night in her entire life just that in the moment it felt pretty shit. Also if you write a thread with the title of "I'm having a mildly annoying time" people won't engage with it as much.

He messaged me in the middle of the night and asked if I was okay so I just replied saying yes sorry I couldn't sleep so went home and he just said 'As long as you are ok though 🙂 I was a wee bit worried. I woke up about 3 and ya were gone but I’m glad your good 🙂 and your welcome x'

Will leave it at that. No harm done so no blocking necessary I suppose.

What was there for either party to block the other over??? You visited a mate for 3 hours hoping for a hook up and crashed in his spare bed, before going home because he wasn't up for a shag/ you remembered you have pets
