Just realised I have been sat like this for the past twenty minutes.

AIBU to be abit pi*sed off that one in particular can afford to spend £300 on designer clothes for her baby while saying that its worthwhile because they wont mess them up, when thats about the amount I spend on DC AND myself in a year.

Right I had forgotten about this thread,
Trolley Dolly, I would like one guy from tikkabilla (lounge), one kiefer sutherland (kitchen, one Brian Molko (Bedroom of course), one Robert Smith from the Cure (girls room very cuddly), and one Trent rezner (bathroom my reasons).
Thanks when can I expect these?

Is that all, would you like me to travel somewhere very far away to pick tem up and how do I get them through customs?

viggoswife · 31/01/2008 19:38

Oh me too.

That will be

1 x Big Chris from Roary the Racing Car for Lounge.

1 x Daniel Craig for garden - blue trunks from Casino Royale version, waterproof for use with the water feature.

1 x Christian Bale - Bedroom - Removable bat suit option please.

Thinks thats enough to be going on with.

i do think that the woman making (fabricating?) the 'babies' on the programme was incredibly talented. and love babes, thanks for your input and for being so reasonable rather than barking!

i did shudder at the granny - i too thought the little boy was dead, then i thought his mum was dead too. then she logged onto the webcam. i would never tell anyone how to spend their money, but would gently remind them that the money spent on the top-end dolls could make a HUGE difference to the life of a real child. but then, thats not a 'mememe' thing.

rookiemater · 31/01/2008 21:22

Ooh ooh trolley dolley can I have the exceptionally irresistable young solicitor from Mistresses you know the one with the come to bed eyes, oh and an Adam Carter from Spooks , or Rupert whoever his name is in real life to protect me from, umm Trolls or reborn babies whichever is more threatening.

mummyloveslucy · 31/01/2008 21:39

I think most of these women are like little girls that haven't grown up, pushing there dollie prams around.
If the doll was for a real emotional reason such as, comming to terms with the loss of a child or not being able to have children I could understand it more. I think the blond woman just wanted to push expensive prams and show her "baby" in designer clothes and just show off really. I think that is very sad. If I ever had that sort of void in my life and the need to care for a baby, then I would adopt or foster baby's. That way you could actually do some good, and put your love in to a real little person who will appreciate it. At least that would be rewarding.

mummyloveslucy · 31/01/2008 21:50

I do actually think that some of the dolls are beautiful to look at, I prefere the awake ones as the sleeping ones look dead. They are works of art but It's the emotional state of the women that have them that concerns me. I'd like to have one for a laugh and accidently drop it in front of people now and again, or do a Britenie and drive with it on my lap.

Hi all, I have read with interest your recent posts, thanks for replying, I will only add one more comment then leave you to get on with it :-) Mummyloveslucy, TV mostly films "extreme individuals iykwim" as it makes good viewing, 95% of us doll fans are emotionally quite fullfilled and have rewarding grown up lives, I started my collection 20 years ago when my hubby joined a model helicopter flying club (what do you make of that?) with one 100 year old baby porcelain doll, and only look at them on disply. as do most of us, I would only like to comment in closing that some women are "control freaks" and would maybe be better off collecting dolls, its also harmless compared with drinking smoking and binge eating for comfort to some.....my hubby bought his helicopter, flew it, and crashed it all in one day! but hey we are still together so we must be doing something right, X Angela

3andnomore · 02/02/2008 00:06

hm..but porcelaine dolls and reborn ones can't really be compared...to me, those that have the reborn dolls tend to want something looking like a real Baby...a Procelain doll looked like a doll...beautyful, but not real...and reborns look like dead babys....

Hurting nobody.

We are so lucky to live in a free country ... where we can make choices and do things we like so long as we do not harm or offend others!

Boys grow to men and can play with trains; work on their cars; play with scalextric or other games; stay in the garden all day, go shooting; go fishing or train spotting etc., and some women collect things; ie dolls - whatever floats your boat is OK!

Theres no harm in that, is there?
