Posting for traffic. We're meant to have a vegetable stew, I put it on this morning and told him to leave it don't touch or add anything. I come in today after shopping and he's added the dumplings in, these dumplings was left out all night left in the shopping delivery bag, they're aunt Bessie ones. I was meaning to throw them out as I've gone and bought new ones fresh from the shop, they was left in a bag when the shopping was delivered and I never got home until late last night. I put them on the side this morning meaning to throw them out but got distracted.

Now I can't find anything online in if they'll be ok to still eat, as it says keep frozen. Now they're only the frozen ones but still does anyone know if they'll be ok to eat considering they were left out? Or do I need to throw the whole stew out?

I just want to understand what “dinner” is usually at 3 pm. Because - people who mean “lunch” as dinner surely eat before then, and people who mean “evening meal” as dinner definitely eat after then so WTF is dinner at 3?

I’ve never heard of eating dinner at 3pm, that’s not even ‘teatime’. Why do you eat so early, do you work night shifts? Not the point of the thread of course but a very unusual time for dinner.

It's just our routine at the minute, it changes every now and then we've just found at the minute it works for us doing it this way as explained above dinner has been a struggle for us and we've found eating together is the only way it's easier, and then our nighttime routine is still very similar, and after bedtime we've still got a little adult time!

I didn’t know you could even get frozen dumplings.

Tippexy · 29/10/2022 17:07

If all the dumplings were left out overnight, they will be fine today.

If one dumpling was left out overnight, then it will also be fine today.

FGS I think OP and her DP are allowed to eat their dinner at whatever time best suits them!

The dumplings will be absolutely fine to eat. Next time you could have just re-frozen them if they weren’t due to be used that day and that would have been absolutely fine too.

YES people need to be taught good old fashioned understanding of food safety, storage and prep.

The dumplings will be fine.

I can't believe you explained yourself, I wouldn't have done!
