I’ll start… dogs 😬 Never goes down well & I think if I owned one I’d probably grow to love it but in my eyes they just smell and dribble and are annoying. How about you?!

OP posts:

Game of thrones
Lip fillers (particularly people I know, both young and old that have them haven't had them done well, kind of makes me jump back and try and hide my reaction, but they all look abit plastic and artificial on them)
All grey interiors

Mrsfussypants1 · 14/10/2022 13:53

Oh and certain trends of dogs, dachshunds, frenchies, pugs and xxl bully's. The latter for safety reasons and all the rest for their own health and I hope the owners have decent pet insurance for them.

Not everyone, but too many people like Mrs Brown's Boys. The best argument for abolishing the licence fee.

ThighMistress · 14/10/2022 14:47

Agree with hundreds of these (but NOT dogs!!!!!)

Second Women’s Football. I have been a football fan and season ticket holder since the 80s. And I am a fully-fledged woman. Yet I can’t warm to the women’s game. They’re (whisper) not that good. And lacking in personalities. This is not true of every sport. In fact women’s rugby can be very entertaining.

Double barrelled surnames
jeans-bloody uncomfortable!
Drag acts especially with kids

Double barrelled forenames are just as bad. Completely pointless just give your DC a middle name like everyone else. And as for double barrelled surnames, urgh! Don’t get me started.
I’m waiting for the day I meet a doubly double barrelled person Ella-Grace Wykes-Rowlands.

Extravagant gender reveals

All babies should be celebrated and finding out the gender is an exciting time but it’s become trendy to have huge gender reveals - from colouring whole rivers in pink or blue or flying planes over with the colour coming out of them

Suetwo · 14/10/2022 15:05

Alcohol. A disgusting, dangerous drug that turns people into slobbering idiots. If I had my way, alcohol would be illegal, but MDMA, ecstasy, mushrooms, khat and the milder forms of cannabis would be legal.

Left wing comedians. Awful, smug, patronising, sanctimonious little poseurs. I can’t bear them even when I agree with them.

Banksy. Great art is subtle, thoughtful and complex. It gives no easy answers. Banksy’s stuff has the depth and intelligence of a Disney cartoon. Everything is simplistic and black and white.

The royals. A bunch of ugly, boring, vulgar, horsey imbeciles. They make me SO ashamed.

There's an athlete called Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

I don't like them either.

Adults who get excited about Christmas, particularly when it's only October

I work with a few of them. Bore off!

The athlete's name Katrina Thompson-Johnson really jars me for some reason. Sounds so naff. (JMO.)

Don't you mean the adults who get excited FOR Christmas and all the "gifting"?

I agree with the OP who said dogs.

And Halloween. I actually think Christmas is ok. Easter is better though as far less expectation and stress.

I agree with lip fillers, they never look good so why do people waste money on them. And cosmetic surgery doesn't make you look younger, just like you've had work done. So again why bother wasting the money? Just buy nice face cream instead.

Desserts are generally overrated as well. And usually quite boring. Everywhere does the same ones.
