Following on from a thread yesterday, I guessed Liz was 56. I was shocked to hear she's a decade younger. I guess I am being unreasonable. It was probably the photo of her having a meeting wearing comfy trainers that did it. How old would you have guessed she was?

That was about his grooming not his looks.

I can't stand Truss and I think she's incompetent and dangerous but I couldn't give a fuck about how old she looks.

If you compare faces, she doesn't. They have similar lines under their eyes and their mouth. Their chin/jowl looseness is the same. The difference is choice of clothing (which we shouldn't be attacking women for) and movement. Truss might have health issues and shouldn't be criticised for them. As for wearing comfy trainers, young women are picking flats over heals. We shouldn't be forcing women into heels. Trainers and dresses are a lot of women's go to, especially the under 40's.

Sooty, it wasn't just his grooming! Have you seen the caricatures of him and my link. Those of Liz, and other politicians, aren't flattering, but Boris was commonly depicted semi naked. I've never seen such criticism and mockery of looks and body.

If she had Botox and dressed in younger trendier clothes people would slate her for that. As a woman it seems you can't win, age naturally and get slated or have some help and get called fake.

She looks a bit older , but in much less formal clothes I think she would look her age.

It does. There's nothing wrong with a woman choosing to grow old naturally and not have botox etc to try And slow the physical signs of aging. No one should be judged on their looks.

These look like a woman in her late 40's. She's got a delicate look, which when compared to some different looks, possibly could look older, if your so inclined to have an opinion on how women should look. Looking somber enough to reflect the Queen's death was probably tough going.

For goodness sake - I hate everything she stands for, but her appearance is irrelevant. She looks perfectly normal for a woman of her age, I say this as someone of the same age.

To be fair, there is a third option. Resist Botox and the like while being naturally beautiful and youthful. Easy!
