No baby boy clothes anywhere

Slight exaggeration sorry, but is it just me or are there always more baby girl clothes in shops than boys?

today I went to asda and Sainsbury’s, was disappointed with the selection. I want to get a dressing gown for my baby for Christmas asda had some but they were all pink or clearly orientated towards girls.

nothing against gender non-conformity but I wanted like a cute bear or dragon dressing gown. Even the gender neutral stuff always looks more girl oriented

Tesco, H&M, tk maxx and even M&S when I went recently also had barely any boys clothes. (Tk maxx had some adorable halloweeny/autumnal baby dresses and I was gutted they had nothing in for boys)

just to be clear most these shops have plenty in for older boys but just not much for newborn - 1.5 year olds

am I being unreasonable and everyone else has no issue with the ratio of boy to girl clothing?

I think the supermarkets are equally awful for both sexes - it’s all either navy blue with dinosaurs on or pink with unicorns.

I’ve recently bought my DS some nice stuff from John Lewis and H&M.

JL have fabulous reductions on kids wear if you’re in a position to buy a season ahead and store it.

Your baby will never wear a dressing gown anyway! They don’t work on babies..

I am always on the look out for clothes for my toddler grandson and I’m fed up with dinosaurs on everything, from blankets, duvet covers, vests and tee shirts.
This isn’t just a fad this year. It’s since he was born! Who wants to put ferocious dinosaurs on baby clothes?

I'd rather dinosaurs (which DD & DS love!) than camouflage!
Other places to try:
FatFace (they do a baby range now)
Toby Tiger
Piccalily
Boots MiniClub

Agree that John Lewis has some very good stuff too.

APurpleSquirrel
I was going to add camouflage to my list!

I agree. Online is your friend.
Jojo maman bebe does some lovely boy stuff though.

Thanks all for the shop suggestions, a few places I hadn’t heard of or thought of so I will have a bit more of a hunt around 😊

Welcome to having boys it only gets worse the older they get, it's absolute bullshit! You have to shop online, cos every actual shop the boys section is about a 1/3 of the size of the girls.

This used to bug me when mine were small. Especially things like snow suits- we lived somewhere v cold and you could only get bright pink sparkly ones. Of course I could have bought those but what I hated was the idea that precious girl babies need to stay warm but my boy baby needed to toughen up in the cold. Maybe I'm over thinking it...but you get the idea! I still find it an issue 13 years later.

Ps I mainly shopped in verbaudet

I started buying Scandi brands for my boy.

Loads of bright prints and they don't separate by sex - you can get the same print in a top AND a dress (I got a shark dress for my niece!)

Added advantage that if you go somewhere crowded he's easy to spot (or describe if need be)
