To find Liz Truss so unconvincing

It's as though Liz Truss is acting (badly) the role of PM in some naff soap. I find her so unconvincing of her ability to be PM.

I listened to a podcast with Laura Kunesberg earlier and Liz Truss just talked over her continuously to drown out her questions. It was just drivel. I can't believe she's leading the country.

She is the worse sort of alansigbal. She sounds like she knows what she is saying in here intonation however she is just repeating the same weird noises again and again. Meaning we should all be panicking.

Exact same style, just go in there and whatever you get asked just keep saying what it is you wanted to say no matter if it relates to the question.

With Johnson it was every sentence ending with 'get credit done'. Truss seems to ve trying to copy that. I suppose it's easier for them not to engage and spout whatever they want.

YES! I totally thought she was just trying to act the part (badly) too. The moment it dawned on me was when she was doing the long walk in to the Queen’s funeral and I just cringed a bit that this is who the world sees as our prime minister. It somehow feels particularly embarrassing after Boris since it was like Boris was such an obvious mistake for all to see but now we’ve fought hard to get rid of him and here we have this person acting the part as you say. She didn’t even walk confidently. She was kind of stooped and not at all confident looking in her own ability even

My thoughts exactly @42isthemeaning. It’s quite low to attack a politician’s personality and character, in the first place, but it’s really not on to speculate on a condition they may or may not have, and to criticise them for anything linked to that.

I'm guessing, Laura, that the OP listened , Laura, to the Newscast podcast, Laura, which was probably more painful to listen to, Laura, than it was to watch, Laura. I cringed so hard that my toenails are emerging from my throat.

There's something about LT that just puts me in mind of an overconfident 13yo who has always been told by her parents that she's incredibly clever & funny, and never once considered that perhaps the rest of the world doesn't quite see her that way.

You can't "bash" the government. They're in charge (sic) not being victimised.

Sometimes, to get your perspectives across, you have to talk over, to explain your reasoning otherwise they can just do parts without the full context, I've been watching the banking leaders in congress, and the way some senators ask or phrase the questions seems to be point scoring or to phrase the answers from the banking heads, in an uncontext perspectives.

Even LT supporters have stated she is a poor public speaker. It is not a ‘Tory bashing thread’ to make statements of fact.

Other statements of fact are independent bodies like the OBR, BoE and ‘markets’ think the policies announced in the mini budget are bad for the economy - by making our debt too high without a plan to pay it off.
