£33,064 - £43,000 For a “junior” glorified admin role!! I don’t even get that much in a year in my job!!

So that is the salary per year. What makes you think it's too much? They're seeking a person with experience.

SunsetGun · 03/10/2022 18:26

Why is it too much, just because you are paid less? Maybe they see this as a fair salary? And want to recruit a top candidate and keep them?

Because it’s just a junior admin role really

The horror! A decent paying job!

So what are you saying, that admin roles shouldn't be paid a decent wage? If you have issues with your pay that's your jobs problem, who cares what other people make.

Good for whoever gets this job. You just sound jealous.

Ihavehadenoughalready · 03/10/2022 18:27

Job sounds very involved/horrible to me, and think it should be paid more, not less.

What job title do you hold that is paid less?

Bywayofanupdate · 03/10/2022 18:27

Clearly requires experience in the sector. So not junior

Papyrus · 03/10/2022 18:27

If that's what the company is willing to pay for the right candidate, why is that a problem? It's not a race to the bottom. We need companies to start paying decent wages in order for others to be pressured into upping their game to attract and retain staff.

ChiefWiggumsBoy · 03/10/2022 18:28

It might be titled ‘junior’ but it seems very in depth with quite a lot of responsibility to me.

Why don’t you apply for it @ParadeOfLights ?

Barleysugar86 · 03/10/2022 18:29

The candidate should have some compliance and financial experience. It's no doubt central London. Pays about £10k more than I'd expect but certainly not a bad thing!

TBOM · 03/10/2022 18:29

I work in that area, and that's what you need to pay. And you have no idea what you're talking about when you say it's just an admin role, it requires a huge amount of organisational skill.

birthdaytou · 03/10/2022 18:31

Maybe find a better paying job, OP? What I’m hearing is that you feel you feel valued and begrudge someone in an admin job earning a fair salary. Why shouldn’t someone who is good at admin get well paid. Admin also isn’t easy it’s not as easy as it seems to be super organised and efficient especially in a fast paced environment.

birthdaytou · 03/10/2022 18:31

you feel undervalued is what that should have said

TheHoover · 03/10/2022 18:31

‘junior’ in job titles is so demeaning.
I bet they would get a much better class of applicants by retitling to ‘Associate’ or something else.

TedMullins · 03/10/2022 18:31

It’s not an admin job. It’s a very reasonable wage. You’re jealous.

iklboo · 03/10/2022 18:32

Those tasks - and the experience required - definitely aren't part of a 'junior admin role'

Testina · 03/10/2022 18:33

You don’t understand the role, which is maybe why you don’t earn as much? 😉

“Junior” doesn’t mean low level admin or trainee level in all job titles.

Flugelbinder · 03/10/2022 18:33

That’s not an admin job as you’ve described it and if it is maybe you should apply.

Kite22 · 03/10/2022 18:33

Whereas I am often surprised at what people earn, in relation to others with much more training / responsibility / qualifications / etc., it shouldn't be a race to the bottom.

Why don't you apply OP ?

Anamechangeisasgoodasarest · 03/10/2022 18:34

Not many "junior admin" roles have budgetary responsibilities and require detailed knowledge of vehicle loans and support markets.

Many people on here can't even book a holiday for themselves, so I'd like to see them have a go at booking overseas team travel.

Will you be applying OP?

MuggleMe · 03/10/2022 18:35

It's not a race to the bottom. Glad they're paying it a decent wage, it sounds busy.

HideTheCroissants · 03/10/2022 18:35

That is not a glorified admin role! There is a lot of compliance knowledge needed in there!

Brefugee · 03/10/2022 18:36

if it's so easy you'll apply and get it, right?

Jalepenojello · 03/10/2022 18:36

Of course it isn’t too much. You sound very bitter.

5foot5 · 03/10/2022 18:37

I read the job description and it doesn't sound like anything I would class as a "junior" admin role. Plus there is probably a London weighting

PurplRainDancer · 03/10/2022 18:37

See if you get an interview OP
