Now bear with me...

I mean she is succeeding at achieving her own goals. Well what are her goals, I hear you ask:

m.youtube.com/watch?v=uhBtilyGWPo

It's clear that her top priority has always been reducing cheese imports.

Given how much the pound has devalued and the effective reduction in wages from inflation we will not be able to eat anywhere near as much fancy foreign cheese in the future.

Is the destruction of the economy such a big price to pay for supporting British cheese?

Ooh Wensleydale with Cranberries or some Strong Chedder Wink

We need a cheese icon HQ like this perhaps 🧀 Grin

Lonelycrab · 02/10/2022 07:32

Bloody foreign cheese, coming over here covering our crackers

😂😂👌🏼

fallenover · 02/10/2022 07:35

Has anybody else discovered Nerine Skinner . I'm sure our PM will be providing lots of material!

CeeJay81 · 02/10/2022 07:35

She better be gone by Christmas or my Christmas is ruined. Without any Camembert there is no Christmas!

It’s not unheard of for someone to make a few mistakes at the start of a new job.
A new starter needs time to settle in.

I don't think the average new starter would be given any time to settle in if one of their first actions was to totally bugger up their employer's finances.

Minimalme · 02/10/2022 08:07

I like imported cheese, the more imported the better.

Liz Truss (aka "The Cheese Lady" in our house) is ruining our lives.

"IT'S. A. DISGRACE."

I'm sure bosses worldwide are extremely relaxed about their new employees crashing their finances whilst they settle in.

Thanks for reassurance this is perfectly normal and no one should worry or mind.

Pandamumium · 02/10/2022 08:40

Unfortunately, like WW1 I don’t think she’ll be gone by Christmas!
Oh well, Cheddar it is then.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 02/10/2022 08:46

If Liz Truss were to resign in the immediate future I wonder if she would be eligible for the 'former PM allowance' of £115,000 per year like Boris is? Shock

donquixotedelamancha · 02/10/2022 10:02

I think if you hired someone this inept and then allowed them to fuck up so badly, your own job would be at risk.

The people in charge of the people who hired Liz Truss (Tory MPs) are us (the electorate). Perhaps we should sack the fuckers?

Cheese is the downfall of many a vegan. When you are on a diet, it is the stuff of life. This could be the issue that pushes people to action.

Vcal2017 · 02/10/2022 10:12

It’s ALMOST as if there are OTHER COUNTRIES that also make cheese. And that cheese, CHEESE ALONE will save the British economy. Cheese has always been my personal hero, and now it finally gets to be where it should be, at the centre of national
debate. It’s not gutting the NHS or have a joke for a government that’s the disgrace. It’s the CHEESE ISSUE.

Apples as well, remember. Let’s not under sell ourselves here🙄

She's fucking brilliant. So proud to have her as PM. Stunning and brave. Can't wait to see what else she has planned!

Brave can also be interpreted as foolhardy. Stunningly foolish.

To quote Gove… “The sheer risk of using borrowed money to fund tax cuts - that is not Conservative," he says.

Should be an entertaining conference this week.

pompomdaisy · 02/10/2022 12:22

Brieng on her demise I say 🤣

Well this explains why each successive pm in recent years has worked harder than the last to become untenable.

I've googled it and apparently it's only for office administration/secretarial staff, which I think Johnson will be able to use quite creatively. Less sure about Ms Truss.

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 02/10/2022 12:33

I'm starting to wonder if it's all an elaborate plot.

Liz Truss was brought up by left wing parents, after all. Maybe her goal is to make the Tories unelectable for a generation? Destroy them from the inside and show the public what they really are? She's doing pretty well so far. I bet her dad is proud of her.

Well she used to be a LIb dem and wanted to abolish the Monarchy - so I guess anythings possible!

notprincehamlet · 02/10/2022 12:58

Blessed be the cheesemakers

the80sweregreat · 02/10/2022 14:34

I doubt that Liz Truss is clever enough to be a political mastermind to bring down the government in such a way
I think she just had a lot of luck to be honest and the ones who voted for her didn't want Rishi Sunak because of his heritage and how he betrayed Boris Johnson. They only had a choice of two and she made all the right noises.
Trouble is, they did not actually listen to her properly , or really care about tax cuts and austerity Mark two looming. It probably doesn't affect them after all.

TheVanguardSix · 02/10/2022 14:44

Who the fuck does she think she is, Wallace and Gromit?

Well it did only take 2 days of her in charge before she made a start on that. KC better sleep with 1 eye open for the time being.
