He’s asked me to join me for a bath…

I’ve been speaking for a week on what’s app to a guy from hinge. He’s send me a pic of his taking a bath (just the bath) and then his face and wrote “Comming joining me”. Grammar/typo on his part but I think he meant for me to join him.
He also replied to my message “I’m still in bed” with “You seem to be in the wrong bed 😉”.

AIBU if I just move on?

@GorillaTape

What job do you do that you can post on mumsnet at nearly midnight? Confused

Anyway, as for this bloke... Bleurgh! Shock He sounds foul. Bin him and ghost him. You can get an 'organism' somewhere else.

Sorry, just teasing. Smile ^

I work shifts

I am genuine.

apologies for my spelling/grammar.

I didn’t know if I was being overly sensitive or not.

I haven’t had a bf before so not to sure about things. OLD is awful, but only option atm.

I really don't understand women.

Guy flirts = Sleazy sex pest. Move on.
Guy doesn't flirt = He's not interested in you. Move on.
Guy makes a typo and poor grammar = Ew move on.
Woman typos and uses poor grammar = "I'm on my phone".

cooolio · 30/09/2022 01:41

Ew

Whereas men are known for being sooo accommodating, accepting and non-judgmental when dating Grin

He's after a shag.

Hid total lack of interest in your life backs that up.

You say you're not after (just) a shag so don't waste any more time on him.

LemonDrop22 · 30/09/2022 07:33

Guy makes a typo and poor grammar = Ew move on.

To be fair his typo was probably because he was wanking with one hand while typing the message.

🤣🤣 you r taking this way too seriously OP!!!

My husband makes jokes like this alot!!! We've been married 15 years! He's been like this from the start!

He's actually the most lovely, respectful, kind man! He's also a great dad! He just finds me sexy :) (which is a miracle given that I look like some kind of wobbly jelly lady!! With a big nose!!) and likes to flirt with me, even now several years into marriage!!!

This guy hasn't said anything offensive, just flirty!! 🤣🤣🛀

KangFang · 30/09/2022 10:46

loads of them are like this on the dating apps, they'll find a way to sexualise anything. You only need to innocently mention you're just about to have a shower and they'll be coming up with some sex scene in their heads, even within 5 minutes of chatting. They just want sex, or free sex chat, or both. If that's what you want fine, but i'd say the percentage of genuine people on the apps who show any sort of respectful interest are very low.

His spelling is awful. Find someone who can spell and write a grammatically correct sentence. He needs to be able to communicate his needs articulately

Its a strange phenomenon that so many men on internet dating sites both cannot spell and talk about sex at an inappropriately early stage. Logical conclusion is that that is the reason they are single or they are only interested in women who will not object to this behaviour and offer them casual, easy sex.

Also be wary that if you do want casual sex and are happy to go round to the home of a man you barely know or have them at yours, and they rape or sexually assault you, the fact that you have exchanged sexually explicit messages or even sexually suggestive messages with them will be used against you should it go to court, and it is often an extremely effective defence against rape by the Accused.

10HailMarys · 30/09/2022 14:47

Why on earth would it ever be 'unreasonable' to stop messaging some bloke you've never met? Even if he'd done nothing wrong, you're not obliged to keep messaging if you're not interested.

From the extracts you've posted from his efforts at communication, I think I'd have blocked him at 'hello'.

Yes this - yuk! I had one guy asking me if I needed to make up for lost time after 7 days isolation when I had covid. I'm a single parent who hasn't had sex in 2 years - why would a virus that kept me indoors a few days suddenly make me desperate. Literally any excuse for the sex talk. Always an instant delete for me

LividLaVidaLoca · 01/10/2022 09:21

I didn’t date anyone who couldn’t spell or punctuate.

mycatisannoying · 01/10/2022 09:25

Yuk, he's a perv/creep. I'm quite old-fashioned though, and wouldn't appreciate a guy speaking to me like this after a week (and without even meeting).

PanPacificBallroomChampion · 01/10/2022 09:35

If DH leaves me or drops dead I don’t think I could be bothered with all this. I reckon I’d stay single.
