To think there must be a fall in house prices?

And not really understand why it hasn't already?

I understand people with existing fixed mortgages aren't affected immediately, but anyone buying now is.

Or is the stamp duty thing enough to negate the interest rates effects?

I'm not necessarily saying a crash but surely there must be some fall in prices?

Already starting to see a lot of properties on rightmove being reduced

I'm in Bristol which is typically insanely fast moving and expensive, and lots of stuff is either being reduced or coming back on.

I don't know. But I desperately hope so. I'm so sick of renting; and any time I think I'm vaguely close to being able to put down a deposit for a flat, the bar gets higher. It's depressing. Buy to let landlords are so selfish. They're the new bourgeoisie, and we renters are their fodder.

Our problem is lack of the particular size of house we need in the particular place we need. I can’t decide if falling house prices will even help as everyone seems to have tens of thousands tucked in the bank to offer over asking just to get one!
