AUGUST 2023!

I've phoned to try and get it changed to be told its not possible.

So that will be 20 months since my Dr decided I needed to see a Neurologist before I actually will see one

Oh my God that's fucking awful. I don't know what the hell is going on in hospitals or GP practices. It's like GPs don't fucking treat anything anymore? They're triage! My first physio appointment last year was on the telephone. 😁

It's absolutely horrendous.

Physio on the phone? Oh my god! 😮

I guess you need to end up so bad that you are hospitalised. Mil ended up hospital and had all sorts of scans and medication started within two weeks.

That is exactly what happened to me. Ended up in hospital for 10 days. They did an MRI and initially told me there was nothing wrong. My file was reviewed by a senior consultant and there is something wrong! My next appt is 22nd December, if I don't collapse again.

I had a hearing appointment scheduled to be by telephone as it goes. They ended up cancelling anyway so I still don't know what it involves. If it ever happens I'll let you know.

My friend has ms. Their first face to face appt since covid should have been in July this year. It was postponed until September 2023. Apparently all clinic slots until then are full.
it’s awful

Mental health seems to be good comparing to the rest. I have had my reviews consistently every five months for several years.

alanabennett · 20/09/2022 19:05

And yet you'll see all of these "thank goodness we don't have a US style health system" pop up from time to time. The NHS is a disaster.

Please write to your MPs to complain about it. I’ve been waiting come January for an appointment for my baby, I rang in April and was told I was on the waiting list. I’m going to phone again and email my mp, he is useless and a Tory minister so I expect he will ignore but i have to do something!

SnoopDogisamenace · 20/09/2022 19:36

I’m in NI. Waiting time for 1st neurology appointment is 5 years!

Stag82 · 20/09/2022 19:37

Not quite the same, but I have been having a really hard time getting my antenatal appointments including being sent wrong times / dates etc.

They wud tell me they didn’t have an appointment to give me and try and rob me off with one 6 weeks later (high risk pregnancy).

i put a complaint into pals and I haven’t had any problems since x
