A friend has asked me to go watch it at her with her and her DC.
My sister has asked me to go to hers to watch it
My parents are surprised I'm not going to theirs to watch it
FFS. I've got my own family at home who I will be watching it with.

AIBU? why do people not think I want to be at my own home with my own family

I think you’re actually angry at yourself for being a people pleaser but aren’t able to acknowledge it to yourself.

What a drama queen you are. Just politely decline. You should be glad that people think of you enough to ask, you don't deserve that.

ShaneTwane · 19/09/2022 13:08

Just say no drama queen.

I read this as child has challenging behaviour. It is difficult to have others round or for him to go to other people's homes. The op is invited round by her family because they think she needs a break. Dh obviously needs to stay at home with their son. Op is annoyed because they don't recognise that even with challenges op still wants quality family time.

I obviously work in this area so I'm always trying to figure out a scenario which suits it 🤣 I could obviously be waaaaaay off base.
