AIBU?
Do I need legal advice? He left.

Husband walked out but is coming back as he can't move out right away. I only work part time and seeking more work now. But as yet he's been the breadwinner.
I have no savings nor assets. Child is not biologically his and I will facilitate their relationship happily.
We'll have to discuss how rent is paid etc. and I want to go halves but not really possible given my lowly income.
Do I need legal advice or should I just play it by ear? I'm socially housed, he is not a joint tenant.
Am I being unreasonable?

Op... this is not going to work out. For your daughter's sake I hope he will continue to act in a father role but based on your updates, if he really does leave, I'm not sure how that would work in practice.
You basically want to continue as you are without sleeping together. Cut the cord and kick him out. Move on with your life. It's just confusing IMO.
I'm happy for us both to move on. I am not holding on to anything. It's his relationship and our wider family (on his side's) relationship with our child that is the difficulty.
I don't want spousal support I'm afraid. I just don't. I work and will continue to do so for my daughter.
We had intimacy issues also as he was controlling there as well. I feel bad saying it but I have felt like I'm making stuff up for a long time.
We don't have much in common and are not getting on. He wanted us to have a baby together but I can't see how that would have been a good idea.

Could he claim any parental rights over our child? Like I said I will facilitate their relationship, for all their sakes, family and my daughter. But she is my biological child, and her father isn't in the picture.
My ex was outwardly a twat, this was different.

I’d be careful making any claims to be a single person to ha now. If hes been living with you but the tenancy was in your name only, ha should have been informed that you were living with a partner, as this would affect your rents and council tax payments.
Yes, and they were.

I have been interested to see how many people have said that the soon to be ex husband will not be liablle to pay any child maintainance and I agree.
What I do wonder is how much the child's father is paying and if he is not paying why not make sure he starts to pay for his daughter?

I don’t see what relevance child maintenance from the child’s father has to do with this?

It really isn't relevant. I've made mistakes and hold my hands up. What's important now is the future and the welfare of my child and myself by way of needing to be mentally well for my child.

The child maintenance would be extra income for the OP which would mean she has more money to spend on her child and herself In a difficult situation any extra money is useful.
