What is everyone doing with their Friday night? My daughter is away to her dads until Monday with one of the dogs. So I am here with the other dog having a glass (or three) of wine, waiting on a Chinese arriving and watching 'the thing about Pam'. Not very exciting but lovely all the same.

Just interested to here what other (more exciting) people are doing with their Friday night.

Sat here feeling sorry for myself that I have covid again. 4th time in total and last time I had it was 10 weeks ago. Second time in this pregnancy!

A very quiet night here, my son and husband are both in bed, the cats having a nap (so she is nice and energised for a mad half hour at 3am), the dog is snoring, so me and the baby are watching the last episode of papergirls.

CaramelTwirl · 09/09/2022 21:02

Watching anything on TV which isn't about the Queen.

HelloDaisy · 09/09/2022 21:06

I’m watching Brooklyn99 with dd after having tea. Might get some wine…

ds has gone away for the weekend with his lovely girlfriend and dh is down the pub with ddog.

Benjaminsniddlegrass · 09/09/2022 21:06

On call tonight so trying my first CBD drink (peach and ginger, very nice) rather than having a glass of wine. Watching Bad Sisters (which is fabulous btw) and contemplating whether I should log on and do a bit of work.

Sitting in the lounge with the patio doors wide open, listening to gentle rain pattering outside and enjoying the peace and tranquility, with the sound of the sea in the distance. DH & I just had a lovely meditation session and he's fallen asleep on the floor (thankfully no snoring... yet)!

Things certainly have changed from our very hedonistic and debauched earlier years together, but I wouldn't change things for the world. I'm feeling very thankful for my lot tonight.

That sounds so wonderful 😊

Just watched a couple of episodes of something in the bath (long baths are my favourite pleasure in life), then finished my steps for the day doing some dance step workouts on youtube… probably should have done that before the bath but oh well! Ha. Will probably curl up with an audiobook now and play a mindless game while listening until bed

It's been a big week - DS started sixth form & I've gone back to the office after working from home since March 2020. I'm shattered!

But our second Ukrainian guest arrived today, expected at lunchtime but arrived late afternoon. We've just had dinner together, which was lovely. Her daughter & grandchildren have been living in our town since May, so it's wonderful to see how happy they are to be reunited (although still sad & worried about other family at home).

DH & I are now watching Apollo 13 with a glass of wine. Reminiscing about slide rules (in the film). Feeling the historical importance of the Queen's passing. A busy weekend ahead....

KermitlovesKeyLimePie · 09/09/2022 21:19

Apart from mooching on here, looking at menus and food reviews online for our upcoming trip to Vegas & The Grand Canyon for DH's 50th.

I will watch a bit of "The West Wing" later whilst having my supper of Chicken Fajitas around midnight.

DH & DS already eaten and are both watching random crap on their I-pads.

Usual Friday night for us as although DS is 17 he has SLD and we have no respite care whatsoever.

mrswhiplington · 09/09/2022 21:20

Sat here watching Gardener's World and drinking wine with DH. Been helping DD get ready for trip to Budapest in a couple of days, making the most of our time together. She's back to uni when she gets back so won't see her for ages. Enjoy your weekend 😊

Im in bed hoping to get an hours sleep before the first of a zillion wake ups with my baby tonight (literally the same every night) but then what am I doing on Mumsnet!?? It's not really going to help me get a few extra winks 🙈

solvendie · 09/09/2022 21:31

Ran, walked the dog, got daughter spicy McNuggets and now watching Cobra Kai Smile

mamaduckbone · 09/09/2022 22:29

Nothing exciting here! Homemade pizza, ice cream, gogglebox and first dates. So tired this week.

TheChosenTwo · 09/09/2022 22:39

Just wasting a bit of time until I have to pick dd up from work at midnight.
currently having a wardrobe sort out.
dh went to the pub after work and got back at about 8, he got a takeaway with 2 of the dc and one of their friends.
he’s now asleep downstairs on the sofa!
dc are in bed, house is pretty peaceful but I daren’t stop as I will nod off!

Egghead68 · 09/09/2022 22:41

JellyJolly · 10/09/2022 00:21

I saw the thing about Pam - I kinda enjoyed it

Shivermetimbers0112 · 10/09/2022 00:25

Been to see a band (Hurray for the Riff Raff) at Lafayette (near Kings Cross, London) - with a few beers and a curry, good night had by all 😀

Great band Hurray For The Riff Raff - saw them last week at End Of The Road festival.

Me; cooked food for the DC, GPs and myself, watched the service St Paul's, then did a radio show (low key) and currently sorting podcasts and typing here...
