To think £4500 a month rent for this is ludicrous?!

I’m considering a temporary move to Bristol and renting out my house.

Bristol is a beautiful city but how can this be justified? Even if all bills are included

A small open plan kitchen and living room and not even an en-suite….

don’t rent it then

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 08/09/2022 21:29

It does seem crazy but what do I know?

WagathaChristieMystery · 08/09/2022 21:30

I agree it is crazily expensive, but I wonder if it’s because all bills are included, it’s a fully furnished new build and it’s also really central? Oh and Bristol is a v expensive city. Considering all of that, I think it’s actually okay (although I wouldn’t be able to afford it!)

jelly79 · 08/09/2022 21:30

That's extortionate! (I know nothing of locations and prices) but wow

Quitelikeit · 08/09/2022 21:31

Must be a mistake. More expensive than some prime London locations!

This one in London is the same price and the difference is huge.

Its a serviced apartment
So you get cleaning, towels, bedding etc
No council tax and no utility bills

Haus1234 · 08/09/2022 21:33

It’s a serviced apartment where they do your laundry etc, it will be mostly companies paying for them. I imagine it’s cheaper than a hotel!

I'd want the chef, masseuse, & chauffeur too, even then😂

Simonjt · 08/09/2022 21:34

Serviced apartments are very expensive, its essentially living a hotel fulltime minus the food.

Just about to say this, price includes all bills. Still v expensive for what it is.

Oinkypig · 08/09/2022 21:38

Knowing Bristol and where that is I don’t think the owner is wanting a long term let. No way is that even remotely the going rate for normal rental. I think this is probably for someone (agency) who doesn’t mind paying over the odds for no questions asked all in rate…..

Lockheart · 08/09/2022 21:38

Serviced apartments are expensive.

Try looking at some normal ones.

ChickpeaFlour · 08/09/2022 21:40

Maybe they’ve had to factor in energy costs then but I’d find that cost very off putting !

jelly79 · 08/09/2022 21:43

That second link... why show pictures of stuff dumped on the furniture. The mind boggles

NurseNeerDoWell · 08/09/2022 21:45

Tbh it’s not unusual for rightmove listings to mix up price per week for price per calendar month so it could be an error.

user1471457751 · 08/09/2022 21:46

The Bristol one says it is for short term and corporate lets, the London one is long term. That will explain some of the difference. Short term is always more expensive. Just think of holiday lets, they charge way more than people would pay if living there as tenants.

Geranium1984 · 08/09/2022 21:48

Must be a short term let and serviced.
You can rent a nice flat in Kensington for that amount!

BellaEllaWella · 08/09/2022 21:50

It’s fully serviced - almost the same as staying in a hotel for a month. The price bears no relation to normal rental prices

Crikeyalmighty · 08/09/2022 21:52

It's intended for short term corporate lets, not really long term rentals

Bsjjsnbs928 · 08/09/2022 21:57

Wow surely there is a mistake?

Christmasiscominghohoho · 08/09/2022 22:07

It’s serviced and central.

Summerfun54321 · 08/09/2022 22:07

It’s a “serviced apartment” like a hotel. Not just furnished but bedding etc with cleaners and laundry etc. If you’re looking to rent a flat, find a rental rather than a serviced apartment.

mondaytosunday · 08/09/2022 22:10

It's serviced. There are plenty available for a fraction of that price.

hettie · 08/09/2022 22:34

Serviced short term let for corporate clients...also central. You need to look at waling distance eg
