For me in first place it's an oldie ........ Walkers Smokey bacon.

Followed closely by -
McCoys King Prawn
Walkers chicken and thyme
Chilli heatwave Doritos
Branstons Beef and mustard

What's your top five?

I think Tesco's might have started copying the Coop Salt and Chardonnay vinegar flavouring - they do an own brand version that's quite similar, though not quite as skin-dissolving.

StellaAndCrow · 10/09/2022 15:01

And Golden Wonder Salt and Vinegar - exactly the right degree of crispiness

Scampi and lemon nik naks or the speaking wine and truffle crisps that kettle chips did a few years back at Christmas

I am very intrigued by Speaking Wine and Truffle Crisps - sounds like something from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, or Heston Blumenthal!

KangFang · 10/09/2022 15:59

Cheese and onion
Salt and vinegar
Pickled onion
Barbeque beef
Smoky bacon

BaileySharp · 10/09/2022 16:04

Worcestershire sauce
Ready salted
Prawn cocktail

Most meat flavour crisps are disappointing I'm my opinion

WhatIsThisMad · 10/09/2022 16:05

Cheese and onion, or plain.

People that like salt and vinegar need to be burnt at the stake!! How could they...

keeprunningupthathill · 10/09/2022 16:10

Pringles paprika

RoobarbandCustud · 10/09/2022 17:18

Aldi lime tortilla chips (but haven't seen them for ages)
Walkers sensations goats cheese and sweet chilli (which have been discontinued)
Doritos flaming chilli
Walkers prawn cocktail
Ready salted kettle chips

Sallyingon · 10/09/2022 17:31

Marks and Spencer's cheese and onion
Walkers cheese and onion
Pringles Texas bbq
Marks and Spencer's mixed up shapes salt and vinegar
Scampi fries
I like them all really. But bacon tends to repeat a bit...

RobertaTheRobot · 10/09/2022 18:13

Roysters t-bone steak
Discos - cheese and onion
Pringles- extreme cheese and chilli
Walkers turkey roast dinner and stuffing (although I haven't seen these in years!)

I am going to have to have a crisp sandwich tomorrow because of you lot who mentioned it!

Well now best crisps for a buttie is very different from best crisp overall!

Izzabellasasperella · 10/09/2022 20:02

Does anyone remember Bovril crisps? Loved them.
Marmite crisps are my favourites now.

Ready salted, cheese and onion, salt and vinegar- depending on mood and accompanying sandwich.

But… I once bought in Spain (possibly France; could’ve been Italy) a bag of mustard flavour nik nak type things. I would pay a king’s ransom for a crate of those delicious bad boys.

Imissmoominmama · 10/09/2022 20:17

Pringles are full of MSG - that’s why once you pop, you can’t stop.

Dumle · 10/09/2022 20:18

Sour cream and onion

wherearebeefandonioncrisps · 10/09/2022 20:23

As per my username, beef and onion.

Where are they???

I'll cope with ready salted, cheese and onion and salt and vinegar.

Gave up on roast chicken and smoky bacon years ago as they don't taste anything like they used to.

While I'm at it, is it just me or have Walkers Crisps become less crispy?
I seem to have to grind them with my teeth these days, they don't seem to crisply shatter like they used to. They now seem like the packet's been open for a couple of days.

CeltictigerMum · 10/09/2022 20:38

Tayto cheese and onion ( Southern Ireland Version ), although Northern Ireland version quite nice too. Only problem is they give you really bad breath for days !

AuntViv · 10/09/2022 21:25

Roast chicken walkers (or any chicken versions)
Ready salted (especially McCoys)
Salt n vinegar
Any Taytos
Prawn cocktail

StiggyZardust · 10/09/2022 21:30

Ready salted or salt and vinegar

Cigarettesaftersex1 · 10/09/2022 21:52

autienotnaughty · 08/09/2022 22:09

@Cigarettesaftersex1 never heard of ready salted? Only salt and vinegar??

That's all that's in the shops now, they discontinued the ready salted ones years ago. They were the best, especially on a butty with corned beef 😋

FrangipaniBlue · 10/09/2022 22:21

I don't think they will ever stop making them @StellaAndCrow I think they are a staple of the Cumbrian diet, pretty much every local shop sells them Grin

Bagpuss2022 · 10/09/2022 22:23

Brannigan’s beef and mustard takes the coating off your tongue but they are delicious

TooManyMoronsHere · 10/09/2022 22:27

UnconscionableSnacking · 08/09/2022 14:48

Ready salted. Boring perhaps, but for me the best!

Please leave the thread.

PinkRiceKrispies · 10/09/2022 22:40

I'm boring as I just like walkers ready salted, closely followed by their salt and vinegar crisps.
