She won't sort out the economy as she doesn't understand it. She believes opening the UK to Australian beef imports will benefit British beef farmers.
She doesn't care about the cost of living because her remit is to retain wealth for the better off. The "tax cut" hints we have been given so far suggest that she will cut NI, which benefits the better off by hundreds or thousands of pounds, but the poorer by peanuts. What she means is tax cuts for the rich & business, & worse & worse conditions for the majority of drones workers.
"Fix" the NHS? Yeah - but not in the way you mean OP. She's a keen proponent of Reaganomics, & reckons deregulation & corporate tax breaks are the way forward. If you need that translated - selling the NHS off to US interests.
She'll also look to dispose of much of the EU sanctioned human & workers' rights, in the interests of deregulation. You think the minimum wage is too low & zero hours contracts are bad news? Wait til you see the new deregulated Britain, where a gig economy will be rampant & people will be working 60 hour weeks with fewer & fewer rights around breaks, holiday & sickness.
The UK is basically going to fuck itself to economic death. But Truss & her ilk won't care - they are, & due to their connections, always will be, financially very comfortable, so if you are in poverty, screw you for not getting on your bike.
All the money will be sucked upwards to the pointy end of the pyramid, & the lower levels of poverty & deprivation will become broader. Welcome to post-Brexit tory Britain - the new feudal state.
