You're right there! I wanted to scream at my MIL when she voted tory purely because she didn't "like the look of Corbyn"
Policies, agenda's, manifestos... no, none of that was any basis for her vote. She couldn't actually give me one politically based reason as to why she'd vote tory or against labour. She didn't know what either party stood for. She just didn't like the 'look' of Corbyn.
Vote whoever the hell you want if it's inline with your own political views. But to base a vote purely on "I just don't like the look of him" is beyond fucking ludicrous.
I'm starting to think politics needs to be raised as a new subject as part of the curriculum, being taught from at least the start of secondary school. So our future generations can give educated votes, rather than "but she's a Swift fan!"
