Stupidest ways your day has been ruined.

Dh and both boys are away this weekend.

I was meant to go out lunch with a friend but I’ve woken up with a stinking cold and headache.

I thought instead I’d have a bit of a duvet day. I wanted to change the sheets as I had dreadful night sweats last night. Second best sheets on the bed so I was looking forward to putting my freshly washed and ironed 800 thread count Egyptian cotton set back on.

No where to be seen. On investigation 18yo DD has put them on her bed.

I’ve taken them back but now have to wash and iron them again.

My duvet day is now a laundry day. Tempted to just crack open the wine in a bit and forget the whole thing.

Anyone else had a disappointing day? This is almost worse than the time my much anticipated hot bubble bath ran cold 😭

That is why I felt bad for derailing the thread and asking a similar question 🙈

I have started teacher training, got my own class and have done my very own planning for the first time. But, no one could/would help me during the holidays and basically been told that the other teachers weren't impressed. I forgot to print out the lessons for the coming week on Friday. So with both these things stressing me, I've had a bit of a teary day.

Wasted my time reading a pointless thread 🙄

This is a bit sad but, we're trying very hard to keep my MiL who has Alzheimer's out of a home. Apart from her dementia she's not in bad physical shape given she's 91. She decided she wanted us, my DD who's her qualified carer, her DH and cute son, DH and me. I share secondary carer duties with my son-in-law and normally we get on fine. Today she told us she didn't want us here and we should all go home. Tomorrow she'll be fine again.

And yet still had time to post on it
