Stupidest ways your day has been ruined.

Dh and both boys are away this weekend.

I was meant to go out lunch with a friend but I’ve woken up with a stinking cold and headache.

I thought instead I’d have a bit of a duvet day. I wanted to change the sheets as I had dreadful night sweats last night. Second best sheets on the bed so I was looking forward to putting my freshly washed and ironed 800 thread count Egyptian cotton set back on.

No where to be seen. On investigation 18yo DD has put them on her bed.

I’ve taken them back but now have to wash and iron them again.

My duvet day is now a laundry day. Tempted to just crack open the wine in a bit and forget the whole thing.

Anyone else had a disappointing day? This is almost worse than the time my much anticipated hot bubble bath ran cold 😭

I have a super cheap ticket for the extended cut of Spider-Man tonight. I love the cinema and I love spiderman. I had a flare-up of a medical condition this afternoon. It resolved after a while with medication but I am so bloody wiped out now I don't think I can face driving and staying up that late :(

@DeanStockwelll go to your account, select 'purchase history' and see if it lets you - it doesn't always, and I think it only allows you to return recent ones, or a few per time. But I do it quite regularly!

I'm with you on this one. You've had a double slap around the face with a kipper, with the cold & DD using your bedsheets. Get the Prosecco open, you deserve it.
Btw, will DD have to remake her bed?!😆

Mines not ruined but when I got the curly fries out of the oven I caught my
thumb on the hot tray and dropped the whole lot of curly fries on the floor 😢

I don't drive to rely on buses. At the moment, the bus service has been cut to the bone because of costs, and additionally there's a driver shortage which means buses are being randomly cancelled. I often have to abandon my plans for the day because of this. I've actually felt tearful at times, when I was hoping to meet a friend for lunch and a chat, and the bus hasn't turned up so I've had to cancel.

I had a new fridge freezer delivered this morning, went to make a cup of tea this afternoon to discover I'd left the milk in the fridge they'd taken away FFS

I've had many a day ruined by Merseyrail since I had the misfortune of starting to "travel" with them from about the age of 11. Today I made two journeys and got away without paying. They're an evil company who care not a jot about their customers so when I get away with it, it kind of helps make up for the ruined days!

My day has been ruined since Thursday. Everyday I have woken up with unbelievable rage and sadness.
My washing machine broke on Wednesday night. The more my washing piled up, the more down I got during the day.
Shamefully, I had a proper ugly cry at around 4:45pm today to DP, he had to rush to curries and pick a washing machine and collect it because I couldn’t get out my mood (I wasn’t moody with anyone in particular just moody).
I only had to wait until tomorrow - I don’t know why it set me off so much!

Op now you have the bedding on ready for you you now need to get showered, shave your legs and get clean jamas on. Best feeling ever.

If you are not clumsy like me I'd eat the Chinese in bed off a tray and binge watch Netflix and have a wine.

Well I bowed to pressure from friends and I’ve dosed up on Beechams (I do feel a lot better tbh) and went to get the bus into town. The first bus didn’t turn up and disappeared off the app. So to waste time until the next one I’ve walked the half mile to the next stop.

I’ll tell you now, if this bus doesn’t turn up I’ll be marching straight home again.

I am rubbish at being home alone. I’m all full of Chinese and the one glass of wine I had at home so I’m going Out Out. 🤣

I’m doing the 45 minute walk as there were no buses. Also a win as I’m burning off the takeaway 🤣

I'm finishing a double shift on Wed at 2200

Thursday's shift starts at 0600 and finishes at 1400

I have a secret job interview on Thursday after work at 1500

My boss has changed my Thursday shift to 1000 to 1800 so as to prevent the short turnaround

I'm going to have to say something and possibly tell the truth about what my appointment is on Thursday afternoon.

Really ? I had no idea , I thought you could only return ones that you had bought twice by accident.
