To have bought Harry Styles tickets?

No DC to take, no excuse, but his last couple of singles just make me really happy and remind me of great times this summer, so I've spontaneously bought early-release tickets for Wembley next year. DH will come with me and we'll make a day or two in London out of it.

Now slightly concerned that at pushing 40 we'll be the oldest swingers in town the stadium though. Or at least the oldest who are not accompanying teenage girls Blush.

Utter, utter bold fail. Mea culpa!

girlmom21 · 01/09/2022 20:10

I went to see Example about 6 months ago and there were people there of all ages - including 60s and 70s. You'll be surprised!

"Kiwi is ah-may-zing live.
They actually banned kiwis from his first solo tour as he slipped on one thrown on stage!
Now it's all about the nuggets!"

JohnsShirt* I didn't know they'd banned kiwis lol.

His first solo tour.
It was in 2017.
That makes me sound so up my own arse and one of those nightmare weirdo fans!
I'm not, honest.

I was surprised at the amount of younger fans at Pet Shop Boys earlier this year.
I hot chatting to a lovely couple in their early 20's who were huge fans.

Allmarbleslost · 01/09/2022 20:22

I didn't manage to get tickets 😢

General sale is tomorrow

NippyWoowoo · 01/09/2022 20:29

I went to Justin Bieber (I'm in my 30s) and LOVED it. The girl next to me was about 12, but there were many older people there! Grin

HikingforScenery · 01/09/2022 20:30

Not a fan but as pp said, don’t give a toss about what others think. He’s nearly 30 (according to Google) so only 10years younger than you. I don’t think he’s that young for you to want to listen to his songs tbh

Also, this year there were loads of resales on Twickets.
I'm hoping for at least one more nearer the time and if this summer's shows are anything to go by it won't be a problem.

Oooh. I'm seeing Bieber next year!
Can't wait.

I’m 50 and got tickets - admittedly taking my DD12 but it’s a great show. Couldn’t stop playing the songs after I saw him this year.

I was surrounded by youngsters though. Funny how they were all dressed like the 70s - I felt right at home 😂

LookdeepintotheParka · 01/09/2022 20:55

@Allmarbleslost keep trying the presale link as we tried all morning but couldn't get any until later this afternoon. They've been adding more seats due to demand.

Kitkatcatflap · 01/09/2022 20:58

Seriously, I don't get it. I look at him at think - charmless, scruffy try hard.

Still it doesn't matter what I think, you've got your ticket, go and have a bloody good time OP.

Thinking about it I took my Mum to see Mika when I was about 23, it was at a Uni venue so she thought it'd be all my age or younger but there were loads of (much, much) older people in the crowd.

It seems I've always had a thing for a flamboyant and performative singer.

Yanbu. Harry and Wet Leg will be SO much fun.
It's right in the middle of DS's gcse's sadly so I can't go.

MissMatty2hats · 01/09/2022 21:17

I bought tickets for Slane this morning for my daughter for Christmas, but I was so jealous of her seeing him in Dublin a couple of months ago I’m thinking of keeping one and just giving her one ticket. I’m 53 and I love him!

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 01/09/2022 21:21

I keep looking to buy tickets for me my DD for Christmas as I know she will love it. But we're hoping to go to Glastonbury too and there's a rumour he might be headlining so I'm holding off for now!

Thatiswild · 01/09/2022 21:21

Yanbu, I said the same the other day, every song of his just makes me feel happy. I’m taking my 10 and 12 year olds who had timers set everywhere for me this morning and we are on holiday! I would have happily gone myself though. I can’t wait, he’s a great performer.

APJ1 · 01/09/2022 21:36

MissMatty2hats No thinking needed, definitely keep one ticket for yourself! 😄

MisshapesMistakesMisfits · 01/09/2022 21:38

You are most definitely not being unreasonable!!!! I got tickets for my daughter and her friends and I’m desperate to go ( I’m 50, love his music and he’s very easy on the eye!!) DD is a dedicated ‘Harry’ and has been several times. She still speaks to other girls she has met at concerts and say’s the atmosphere is just fun. She always stands and says there is always a little pact not to push each other or get aggro. Last time she travelled over an hour on the train from our little village to Manchester in her Harry - esk silk pyjamas…. She was just like ‘it won’t matter when I get there, no one will bat an eyelid’ and they didn’t! Go and fully embrace it!!!! 😀

Unicorn2022 · 01/09/2022 23:03

Was so happy to get tickets to the Tuesday show at Wembley after forever in the online queue today. Taking my 14 year old DD and really looking forward to it.
