And I don't feel even the slightest bit unreasonable. In fact, I bought them knowing that I'd sit and eat them all as soon as I got home.

What do you regularly buy, knowing that you will use/eat the lot of it?

I love French fancies. I can buy a packet of digestives and eat nearly whole packet dipped in my cuppa.

Nimello · 29/08/2022 20:03

Crisps of any hue. However, I never buy them for precisely this reason.

Hiphophippityskip1 · 29/08/2022 20:04

We just gorged on lotus biscoff ice cream

RainydaysandFridays · 29/08/2022 20:06

Graze bags, especially bbq flavour; maom fruit sticks and occasionally haribo tangfastics

giveovernate · 29/08/2022 20:06

Whole tub of Ben and jerrys, but only because I didn't have e two tubs in the freezer..... otherwise?

AutumnIsHere21 · 29/08/2022 20:06

Kelloggs Krave cereal. I can get through a box of that in a day!

ladygindiva · 29/08/2022 20:07

Cheesecake. Bought one Friday as in-laws round on Sunday for dinner. Of course I cracked it open Friday night, DP ate one slice I ate the rest. Of an entire cheesecake. And it's far from the first time that's happened.

I'm often surprised when there are no more Jaffa cakes left, I honestly think I just inhale them. Also chocolate buttons. I've had to stop buying them now.

On a healthier note I can eat a whole pack of cherry tomatoes in one sitting, although they give me horrible tongue ulcers. Worth it though.

Hiyawotcha · 29/08/2022 20:09

Battenbutg. Can eat a whole one easily. They’re not THAT big.

Devonchills · 29/08/2022 20:10

Morrisons custard doughnuts.5 pack gone in one day!
I can't even go into Morrisons anymore as I know I'll buy them.

seperatedmum · 29/08/2022 20:12

@Neverminddoris yes to the Irish bars! 🇮🇪we made many a trip to SuperValu for treats when we were just home but they weren't quite so enjoyable in the heat wave 🫠 DD enjoyed the Cadburys mystery bars too

VenusClapTrap · 29/08/2022 20:12

I can’t buy condensed milk for baking because I’ll eat the whole tin with a spoon in one sitting (and make myself ill) long before it gets near a cake. My Ukrainians bought two tins of it a fortnight ago and put them in the larder. I’ve been tying myself in knots ever since.

Itstrueiagree · 29/08/2022 20:14

Another Jaffa Cakes one but I haven't for a long time and I do honestly feel a bit sick when I do.
Tropical Tots? Well I never but I might do!
Thats the main reason I come on MN as I'm always finding out new things.

tobi21 · 29/08/2022 20:14

way too easy to eat a full tub of Ben & Jerrys, "share" bags of crisps, and "big" chocolate bars

SoosanCarter · 29/08/2022 20:15

Waitrose New York Vanilla cheesecake

Jennylou88 · 29/08/2022 20:21

I do this with crisps, eat so many my mouth hurts from the salt. But as you say, worth it 🤣

Whammyyammy · 29/08/2022 20:23

For eating the pink and yellow ones YANBU, for eating the chocolate ones YABU.... my favourite

Purplepeoniesdroppingpetals · 29/08/2022 20:24

Walnut whips. Cannot buy them anymore as it isn’t pretty.

dropthevipers · 29/08/2022 20:24

Can inhale a box of after eights or a tube of jaffa cakes without batting an eyelid. However, the ultimate pig out food is mint viscount biscuits (surely the king of biscuits?). And don't get me started on halva. I said don't get me started on halva!

DeclansAFeckingDream · 29/08/2022 20:26

Marshmallows. Can't stop.

awwbiscuits · 29/08/2022 20:26

Where does one purchase the crunchy nut peanut butter.......

vera16 · 29/08/2022 20:26

I forgot about the big boxes of 'savoury crackers' Aldi do. Bought with the idea of tossing a few in kids lunchbox but they never made it. Hated myself for it. Must be a Ritz dupe? Combined with a tub of Biscotti spread took it to another level. Can't have either in the house now which is a shame for the lunchbox.

Jaffa cakes or Cadbury choc fingers 🤣

The dark choc Cadbury fingers are my downfall on a regular basis, but it never seems to stop me.
