Surely once you become a parent you stop these things?

Judge away 🤷‍♀️
Watermelon bull is my favourite cape but I don't touch alcohol so can I start judging too 🤷‍♀️

I'm also a massive snob and think vaping is as common as fuck

The irony...

RagingWoke · 29/08/2022 21:30

I'd be more concerned with the people doing things that harm their children tbh. Or with the lunatics spouting misinformation and claiming it as fact and that they WoRk In MeDiCiNe.

TrashPandas · 29/08/2022 21:32

I judge people who vape in shared spaces because it stinks. Not as bad as cigarettes, but it's not like it's a binary choice. Apart from that, I don't care.

Sarahcoggles · 29/08/2022 21:34

On current evidence vaping is less risky than smoking, but doing either in view of your kids is not great in my opinion. Second hand smoke aside, they're much more likely to smoke/vape themselves if they see their parents doing it.

It's a bit like crossing the road when the lit up man is red. We all do it if we think we can get across before a car comes, but when we're with our young children we stand and wait patiently for the green man, because we want to teach them by example.

Yanbu. It’s kinda teenage, and yes, by the time someone becomes a parent ideally they’d kick unhealthy stinky addictions.

🤢

Yes yabu I am a parent and I vape and it's not affecting my parenting skills thank you very much.
Much healthier than smoking.
And I am not "common as fuck" either thank you.

Have a lovely evening you lovely lovely person

MarsIsFictional · 29/08/2022 22:38

Yes uabu. Surely once you became a parent you should have learnt to be less judgemental?

You judge alcohol more than vaping?

Of course. Who wouldn't? I don't think drinking in moderation is a big problem but Alcohol has the potential to destroy families and other people's lives. Vaping might not be great for your health but has much less of an impact on others than alcohol.

I assume for a child seeing a parent drunk is a lot more scary than seeing them vape.
