To judge parents who vape

Surely once you become a parent you stop these things?

I vape, having given up smoking 55 days ago after smoking for best part of 20 years. I also have 4 year old twins. At the minute, my life is shit enough and I’m trying really hard not to start smoking cigarettes again. Vaping I thought was ‘better’ than smoking?

Sure, it would be best if I’d not started smoking, but it’s a bit late for that now. I hope to quit the vape one day, but for now I’ll keep puffing it until I feel ready to stop vaping and Life seems better. I’m not too bothered about being judged by strangers - I’m used to it.

But don't most people vape instead of smoking? If the chemicals and common plastic are better than a cigarette then I can tolerate them I think.

What else are we supposed to stop when we become parents?

I don't smoke or vape but as long as they're not done in close proximity to the child I don't understand the issue.

Yes, it's much, much better than smoking.

The trouble with vapes is that I know nobody wants to smell my cherry chocolate bomb - so I just filled the cartridge with crack crystals, now everyone’s happy.

Have you got any kind of proof? Because every doctor I've spoken to re vaping wasn't saying this.

What about parents who drink alcohol? Ruins more lives than vaping!

(For the record I don't judge parents who do either of these things. I vape and sometimes - shock horror - smoke, and my child knows this! As she knows I am imperfect in manifold other ways too).

i smoked for years till i was taken ill with clots on my lungs,never had a puff of a ciggy from that daybut do vape now

my consultant has said the NHS does not consider vaping as smoking and my GP is happy i vape instead of ciggy's

op did you know some hospitals have been doing trials to have vape vending machines in hospitals,that should set you in a spin

I don’t pretend to not judge people, actually I’m a massive fucking bitch 😂 but I do it in my head or privately with DP (who is also a huge bitch) or my friends in a lighthearted jokey way as I know not everyone thinks the same things I do and we all live life differently. The only time I openly, publicly, or loudly judge anyone is when it’s for things that actually deserve to be judged.
