Just a heads up - You are not unreasonable to be alarmed about your energy bill!

But I am sick and tired of hearing about it. I've done what I can to sort my bill out. And I don't want to be reminded every two bloody minutes! There is a cost of living board you can use. It will become busier and more helpful if you all went there to use it!

This winter is going to get harder and every second thread will be some complaint about energy bills at this rate.

Your need for high traffic to talk about YOUR bill does not trump everyone elses need from a space away from it!

Yanbu. I don't see how it's 'discussing the important stuff' as some smug PPs are saying, it's a bunch of identical threads stating the obvious that their bills have gone up. It's especially fun when it devolves into a classic MN class war where posters are berated for worrying about school fees or something, and posts are 50/50 split between 'my husband is a high earner BUT' and 'have you even thought about children who are going to DIE????'.

I still haven't seen a single thread actually discussing good ideas for how to tackle the energy crisis, and we don't need 5000 identical threads on tips to reduce your electricity bill, especially as MN isn't even the best place for lots of that advice.

Also laughing at the supposed gotcha of 'but you started a thread too!' absolutely fantastic debate skills on this site.

So don't read the threads if you don't find the content interesting or important.

People are worried though ,if you don't like it don't click on the threads ,I don't click on the endless Brexit threads as I find them tiresome and repetitive.

Agree 100% along with the many left wing echo chambers on Big Dog thread 13 /Truss is the Devil thread 7 in Chat or AIBU with the same posters chewing over Guardian articles. You have to give them a swerve.

I agree with OP. Yes it's a crisis, but endless threads about energy are tedious and repetitive

And there's rarely a true "AIBU" question. I want to read about parking, noisy neighbours, arguments with drunk uncles .......

It's not over moderated. This is AIBU. Why it it that the right place to discuss your energy bill? Where is the AIBU bit in it? Everyone's bill is unreasonable!

This is spot on @SickandTiredofHearingAboutEnergyBills and very well said.

the problem is that this is Mumsnet where some posters beginning and end will be

“you can’t ever tell me where to post. Ever. I do what I want”.

Those posters want maximum attention, they want to be on the “premium” Mumsnet board , and no one can tell them otherwise .
