Who will look after you if you get sick or grow old?

Interesting discussion with friends tonight...if you were to suddenly get very sick with acute illness, who would help take care of you? Would family gather around or would it be friends?

Tropical country; paid nursing staff; death if I can make it happen

Like other posters, I have no one. I'll have to manage for myself whatever that means.

Nobody day-to-day. I'm sure DCs will help out on occasions. DP won't help me now so I very much doubt we'll be together when I'm old.

I'll go into care. I have kids but I've no Desire to burden them. I have had grand parents that resisted help, refused carers an dumped it on the family. Terrible for everyone. If you can you need to take responsibility for yourself.
