To consider a nanny?

I’m wondering if a calmer setting might suit our toddler more than nursery. He attends a lovely nursery, but the toddler room is still very noisy and full on and I think it’s taught him to be a bit pushy and aggressive.

Where do people find qualified nannies? And is it possibly out of our budget (around £100 joint.)

Having a nanny is hands down the best decision I made in my parenting days. But it is not cheap and i would not have considered it if i hadn't been forced to due to having a non typical child needing extra attention (nothing major day to day but not for a nursery).
You are the employer. This means extra costs. And paperwork. I'm in employment law so comfortable with that. And payroll.
But you can also use the tax free childcare (as with nursery). Net it costs us about 1800 a month i think but we get some tax breaks due to receiving DLA for said child. Nanny is on approx 25k gross which she is happy with and is competitive where we live. Expenses on top but nothing major.
For us it works. She's the bloody best. But it's expensive.

Also we work a lot at home so i think it's 38hours per week she's contracted to work.
