To complain about this Sunday lunch?

Went out for Sunday lunch and the only meat left was belly pork with crispy crackling (as listed on menu )
It arrived and there was hardly any meat just fat and the crackling was fat (not crispy in the slightest )
I complained but was told "that's how it's meant to look"

No, meat done properly is far superior.

I would contact them again today and ask to speak to manager or owner and demand a refund. if they say that is how it was meant to look then ask to speak to someone who know what good food looks like and how to cook it. What they gave you in unacceptable.

It is a fatty cut but it doesn't have to look like that or even be that fatty.

There's a place near us that does incredible roast dinners. Belly pork is included as part of the platter. I didn't think I would eat it, but it was lean, beautifully cooked and delicious. That's how it should be, not what you have pictured. It might be what they serve, but what they serve is rubbish.

I hate it when restaurants try it on like this. Sometimes they treat their customers with contempt and it's not good enough.

Not a fan of pork but that looks so rank 😱

Ugh! But them I don't eat meat! The few times I went to a Sunday roast the meats looked ok so I suppose you had the rubbish that was left?

Belly pork IS mostly fat.

Because MNHQ have decided to add a very annoying feature at the end of some threads which says "You might also like..."

If you click on the suggestions some of them, like this one, are old threads.

It's ridiculous and there will probably be many more of these pointless resurrections.

Difficult to tell after you had been eating it. You should have taken a photo of it before you are some of it. Crackling does not look crispy though.

Shudder. Thank God I don’t eat it- you never know what you are going to get. 🤢I wouldn’t feed that to my dog, it looks disgusting.

Belly pork can be delicious in a roast. Yes it's fatty but usually a good layer of meat as well. That's not actually cracking though which is the issue. Grim.
