Annoying advert

AIBU to think that the voice over in the Vodaphone adverts is THE most annoying ever?? I get the impression it’s supposed to sound sexy and hip (God am showing my age) but it just sounds so bloody annoying!!

Sorry this is a bit of an oldie, but I have two more recent contenders for annoying ads. The first is the Amazon one with the heavily mustachioed dad and daughter who lives snowglobes. The bit that really grates is when he's ordered his amazing Amazon shredder, he wiggles his fingers when the paper is shredding in a manner similar to Jimi Hendrix summoning the flames on his guitar. Hate that part!

Second is for Sensodyne (?), where the dentist shows a corn cob full of horrible smears of food to simulate teeth being brushed. I have to cover my eyes at that point - 🤮

And it must be cold and soggy by the time she gets it!

Seconding the Specsavers advert, although to be fair not seen it for a while.

My vote for most annoying has now come back with a vengeance, although only on ITV3 as that is all I watch on terrestrial. The awful girl and dad with the 'how's that girl Sophie'. I know it's well intentioned, but it's annoying as HELL and the acting is abysmal. It's meant to be 'raising awareness' but it is so unrealistic.

He is a bit of a dish though.

Verisure one set it in a coffee shop.
Rude twat on his phone, server with coffee calling 'Tim', 'Tim'
And then twat saying oh it's Jim........ (or might be other way round with the name)

Also annoying 'jokes' on one channel, might be ITVBe, stolen thesaurus, buy a fridge to see fade light up, check balance etc etc same people, different 'joke'

The OP is talking about the radio adverts for Vodafone? The one with the phony/pushy/patronising/hip/cool/trendy and downright awful voice? That one? She's terrible. And awful. In equal measures.

It has to be the Aer Lingus big sister ad, I think it's meant to be heartwarming (shudder) but it makes me want to stab myself in the brain.

You are so NOT being annoying! I have to turn this crappy advert on every time I hear it. The marketing people must’ve been asleep when they signed over this advert campaign. Music terrible, voice, horrible! Enough said!

There's a woman who does the charity ads for guide dogs who has a really annoying voice and I either have to get out of the room or mute the TV before she mentions 'pupdates'.

It's just horrible, horrible, but I know I can't really blame her for the script.

I live in fear that Dior and Chanel will start punting their old ads out for about the fourth frickin' year FFS as we go towards Christmas. Another year of the crappy Poison advert 'I only call you when it's ha-ha-hot..' and Chanel's ruddy 'we're on each other's team' in every single sodding ad break for about three months. Surely they can afford new adverts by now??

Supernoodles advert with the looong drawn out shout the voice over does. It's hideous. And the lady licking her lips and a random donkey on her back.

The advert that starts with the words "have you ever thought how much easier your life would be if ... (Then some twaddle about automatic blinds". ) Though the dog is cute.

Lots, and lots of things may make my life easier. Automatic blinds? Not so much.

I can see why some think the advert with the man yelling 'Sausage!' is annoying, but for some reason I don't really mind it, though I do hate many adverts. The man in it reminds me of Rishi Sunak.

The McDonalds ad with the eyebrows. Fuck that shit

The Zoopla ad, where she asks 'I mean, how can you afford it?' and the weird face on the man eating popcorn. Very strange.

I absolutely HATE the 'Sausage' one. It makes me cringe, as the dog-owner is portrayed as not being 'all there' as my mother would say and it seems he is being made a figure of fun.

UNESCO ads on Channel 82. FFS Olivia Colman what were you thinking of when you agreed to do these?

OK Martin Bell and Ewan McGregor haven't a lot else to do ATM but you?????

The Vegan one where they phone a takeaway from 'JustMeat' and they deliver a live piglet and a cleaver. Wtf. What are they even selling? Veganism, smugism? Urgh

I absolutely hate her voice. She sounds so bloody smug. I fully expect her to end with "so there, ner!".
