Femfresh

I have done loads of work on my boundaries and learned loads - spent two years single to avoid the cycle of missing red flags and ending up being treated like crap.

I met a guy on Tinder - 39/M professional - he has some posing pictures at a car and some tattoos. His bio says ‘I am only here to check out your filters’ then a million emojis protraying his hobbies and interests. As he is in the same profession as me as I swiped and we matched.

we have had three dates in a week all arranged by him - paid for by him etc. He is texting
loads.

I went to his flat for the fourth date and noticed a bottle of ‘Femfresh’ the popular feminine hygiene product in the basket of toiletries on full display.
He is quite handsy and was kissing me in the taxi on our last date (fine) and then texted me when he got home ‘wish you were here beautiful’.

I think he is just after sex - it seems all a bit rehearsed and love bomby. I want a relationship. Its fine if he is looking for casual but I do not get the slow and steady vibe of looking for a relationship.

The Femfresh gives me creepy vibes - I do not know why specifically - I suppose its because I know another woman has been specifically washing her voovoo there. He lives himself.

AIBU?
what else can you expect from T-bomb.

“When I met DP he had a basket of “girl things” like hair ties, make up remover, cotton wool pads, hairbrush etc in his bathroom because he thought it was just the polite thing to do if there was a chance he’d have an unplanned female overnight guest who hadn’t brought her own stuff.”

OMFG. What a creep.

“When I met DH he had a number of totally normal items in the garage like a length of rope, a shovel and a load of quicklime”

Ducksinthebath · 18/08/2022 08:12

Strong Terrence Howard vibes from the Fremfresh. Steer well clear.

Mother87 · 18/08/2022 08:21

Gross - his comments AND the femfresh (why such a product is even "needed" and why a partner would "supply" it is a whole other subjectConfused)

ClottedCreamAndStrawberries · 18/08/2022 08:30

He sounds a lot like my ex-husband. Run a mile! Love bombing is a massive red flag and I wish I’d known it at the time. People like that love the thrill of the chase and love being in love or love the idea of being in love. Once he’s got his willy wet you won’t see him for dust.

Dazedandconfused0 · 18/08/2022 09:24

Thanks ladies
I think he would be fine if I was ten years younger for a fling but I doubt he is looking for relationship.

I am just going to message to call it off and thank him for his time and effort thus far 😂 I am sure his only irritation will come from me ending it before him (he appears to have massive ego - surgeon)

I agree with the love bombing and he will likely start ghosting / breadcrumbing when he gets his willy wet. I can already read the narrative.

not sure how I would feel if a guy had a whole selection of toiletries for me if I arrived at
his as per PP - I would assume he was looking for casual though and could not take him that seriously. The femfresh just gives me the ick - its a female hygiene product used to make your bits clean and smelling fresh. Its more than just an old bottle of olaplex or shower gel.

In my experience any guy who does the whole "men are bastards" thing is just a shit guy who will put in no effort, has no interest in working on himself, and if you ever pull them up on anything complains that "I told you we're all bastards".

So yeah, I'm glad to hear you won't be continuing to have anything to do with this guy.

He said to me during one of our dates

’look, I am going to be honest with you here X. All Men are bastards’.

i felt my stomach flip a little. I was like Okkkkk

  1. 'Handsy' suggests he's being pushy with the physical
  2. 'Wish you were here beautiful' is OTT and cringe at this stage
  3. 'Just here to check out your filters' is thinly-veiled misogyny about women making themselves look prettier than they are on dating apps
  4. 'All men are bastards' is his excuse for treating women like shit
  5. Prominently displayed Femfresh in the bathroom should make any woman's bits snap shut like a bulldog clip, frankly. It's basically saying 'I often have women over, and also I think women's genitals are a bit smelly and must be thoroughly washed with a special product to not be disgusting.'
Femfresh isn't like keeping some tampons in the cupboard for female visitors in case of emergencies. It is a very specific product for a very specific thing, and most women quite rightly don't use it because it's a marketing scam aimed at making women think their fanny smells. The first thing most doctors tell you if you have any form of discomfort down there is to wash your bits with plain water instead of using soaps, shower gels or Femfresh type products because they're not that good for you and it is abnormal for genitals to smell of nothing. The presence of Femfresh in his house and the 'filters' remark on his Instagram suggests that this is a man who has some pretty misogynistic views about women.

Run for the hills, is what I'm saying. Please.

I bet he's not really a surgeon

He is. I know people who work with him. I am in the same field.

Nah it's his last conquests he sounds a dick if I'm honest "all men are bastards" is a trap to reel you in he sounds full of himself anyway all the posing by car pics sack it off. Even if he was using the femfresh on his bits that's the ick right there.

DeclineandFall · 18/08/2022 09:50

Awwh. Its sweet. For the ladies to wash themselves before and maybe after the sex with the lovely man and avoid irritation. How thoughtful.😬

velvetvixen · 18/08/2022 09:53

It puts the femfresh on its voovoo......

I honestly dont think my ex boyfriends have even heard of femfresh. I think he is a sleazy sex pest. Probs has a whole harem of woman (in his head). I imagine like me, they are drawn in for a few weeks but he drops too many bombs.

I expect the fem fresh belongs to his girlfriend he forgot to mention.

A580Hojas · 18/08/2022 10:27

I'm bemused that you appear to rank the Femfresh as a bigger red flag than his comment about all men being bastards. He's telling you he's a bastard! Good to get the warning and I'm really glad you're not going to stay the night and get to use the Femfresh on your own voovoo. Good call OP!

HardRockOwl · 18/08/2022 10:41

Are you very young? You clearly are very into this man and getting a bit carried away. Your whole op screams to me that you're keener on him than he may be on you and you're at pains to want to discuss this

I'd suggest further work on your boundaries
