To think he could have just written 'I'm an arse'?

For this dating bio:

'I'm a strong confident alpha male looking for a relationship with a kind feminine nurturing woman that looks for her man to lead'

Or do some people actually go for that kind of intro?

It's got my skin crawling!

Well my vag slammed shut reading that....
Quite happy though, if that's what's on offer 🤢

hangrylady · 10/08/2022 08:50

Anyone who describes themselves as an Alpha male is the opposite. At least you know he's a tool before you accidentally go on a date I guess!

Inthesameboatatmo · 10/08/2022 08:56

That is truly awful! I saw one once that said 'I want my woman to cook and clean and be a whore in the bedroom '.
Ffs some men. It's so pathetic it's laughable

Yesterday there was one who seemed to think that his 'huge third leg 😂' was worth mentioning.

At least you said no from the beginning and did not waste your time. Hope every other woman would do the same, sadly there may be some who do take an interest.

Flavabobble · 10/08/2022 09:14

Doesn't hold any appeal for me but it will for some women. He knows what he wants and anyone responding knows what to expect 🤷

Sunshineandflipflops · 10/08/2022 09:19

Sadly though, he will get responses from women who want to take a backseat in their own lives and be supported financially so they don't have to work and then wonder why they are miserable years later when they have kids with him.

GratefulMe · 10/08/2022 09:20

It is yuck when you see it written down like that, but in reality is what an awful lot of women, throughout eternity, have wanted. It's the romantic hero in every novel/film.

saveforthat · 10/08/2022 09:21

He's wants a dom/sub relationships but not so hard core that he wants to go on a special dating site and yes at least he is honest up front so you can just move on.

TenThousandSpoons · 10/08/2022 09:25

Yes I read it as dom seeks sub as well.

Onlyforcake · 10/08/2022 09:28

Screams 'I want a trad wife who will confirm all my misogynistic bs'. Will also get caught paying for a 'hard massage' a few years into their relationship. Very predictable.

BitOutOfPractice · 10/08/2022 08:39

Alpha male is one of those phrases that I think mean different things to women and men. Men think it means they are tall / strong / wealthy. Women think it means arsehole.

😂

Bollindger · 10/08/2022 09:43

So he wants a SAHW who never says anything and will cook and clean, because he earns loads, wonder how much and what job he has?
Also did his mummy kick him out and does he need childcare, so he can just pat his children on the head as he walks out to golf or ride his bike?

ClocksGoingBackwards · 10/08/2022 09:43

At least he’s honest. And there will be women that want their man to be in charge.

allthebikes · 10/08/2022 09:43

He is obviously is a twat. But I know a few men who are like this but only show their true colours a few months / years into a relationship.
My 'D'BiL is starting out in a new relationship and is pretending to be a loving, caring sort but he is actually as the post in this thread describes. I want to tell his new girlfriend to run for the hills and not waste her last few fertile years with him (she is 40 and wants kids). But that's probably one for another thread.
In short, I wish everyone was a bit more honest about what they want in dating profiles.

wellhelloitsme · 10/08/2022 09:44

Sounds like an Andrew Tate fan. Vile.

InTheCup · 10/08/2022 09:49

He is looking for a submissive. Can't get worked up about that.

Any man who is sage and deserving of being in charge doesn't shout about it!

WeRTheOnesWeHaveBeenWaitingFor · 10/08/2022 09:57

Eww

DottyLittleRainbow · 10/08/2022 10:02

JFC that’s grim.

DragonflyNights · 10/08/2022 10:12

Ewww. But at least he’s upfront - makes it easier to avoid, and guess some people are into that!

donquixotedelamancha · 10/08/2022 10:17

Or do some people actually go for that kind of intro?

Yes. Judging from the discussions about who should pay for dates a large minority of women like this attitude.

At least he's being honest and no one who wants an equal partner will waste their time.

Trivester · 10/08/2022 10:51

In fairness it’s an excellent way of filtering out all the women he won’t get on well with.

@goodgreef
They really are something else aren't they 🤣

Movinghouseatlast · 10/08/2022 11:01

He's into S and M!
