I don't even know why I'm posting this.

My DH got blue lighted to hospital yesterday as he was in a diabetic coma and I didn't phone them quick enough as I thought he was sleeping. He was in full DKA and his body was starting to shut down and I feel so bad I didn't know and didn't phone quicker.

He was responsive when I went to see him today but I don't know when I'll get back to see him as our 2 DDs will be back tomorrow and obviously I can't take them to icu.

I guess I'm maybe asking for a hand hold which is against aibu.

Sending a handhold and a hug. You have nothing to reproach yourself for 💐☕️

100% not your fault, Type I is a bitch. When he's better try to talk to him in the light of this incident so that he gets better at using the Libre.

Hope his recovery is continuing.

Ah @GrandTheftWalrus my (grown up) child has type 1, and I understand what it’s like for those around them - you never stop worrying. It’s such a difficult condition to manage.

You weren’t to know and there really is nothing more you could have done, but of course I’d be feeling the same way in your shoes, because that’s just what happens! But you’ve done exactly what you should and got him the best help, so please do try to still that voice of guilt now.

Flowers and a good strong Brew with Cake for you today, and best wishes that your DH recovers quickly.

Hey Walrus. I hope he's doing better today. That must have been such a fright for you.
