When you’re ill/feeling down/a bit blah?

I live abroad so it’s sometimes hard to get, but I headed to my local *British shop, which I rarely go to today. I’m feeling achey and a bit fluey, just a bit rubbish.
I purchased potato cakes (mum gave me these when ill as a child 🤷🏻‍♀️) crumpets, Lucozade (turns out I don’t like it anymore 🤮) Heinz chicken soup (used to have Ox tail, but wasn’t going there!) Mintolas and Munchies, a Walnut whip, Vimto, Monster munch and angel delight (very bad and just not the same!)
I probably do this once per year and usually in the winter as I start to feel homesick.
Does anyone else?

I'm now sad that i honestly can't remember any go to childhood meals, i'd like some nostalgic comfort and love food.

Yes, although for me it's cold spaghetti hoops straight out of a tin. My childhood was a bit chaotic, but still weirdly comforting, so it just wouldn't feel the same if they were warm on toast.

Chicken or bacon super noodles with cheese. Still love it.

Marmite toast cures everything, I'm convinced!

This a million times

I only eat rice pudding when I’m properly ill and it has to be cold straight out of the tin. This is wisdom tooth abscess can’t open your mouth but the dentist gave you antibiotics that need food with territory.

Soda bread with raspberry jam and rice pudding for me.

Heinz salad cream sandwiches, preferably made with the two crusts from each end of a white thick sliced loaf. Eases any pain, physical or emotional, without fail.

Flat lemonade
Wotsits
Heinz tomato soup with those rolls that have cheese already on top
Dr Pepper Zero
