Ours is called Mrs Doyle. The edge detector dance reminds me of Mrs Doyle getting stuck in the windowsill.

We don't have one, but we do give names to most of our household appliances. They are usually alliterative - Walter the washing machine, Cornelius the computer etc. I do occasionally forget that most people don't do this so got a very strange look from a friend the other day when I said "I'll be ready in a few minutes, just let me put the lunch dishes in Dave and I'll be right with you.." 😳

I’m certain Steve has copied the cats in personality as he listens to nothing I say either, he goes off where he wants, gets stuck frequently, if I want him to do the kitchen he pisses off to the dining room. Then he comes back and tries to knock me over.

i get text messages in meetings from him saying “Kurt Vonnegut’s brushes need cleaning” and it cracks me up every time

Our Roomba is called Roomie, named by unimaginative dp.

Ours is called Margaret and I love her, she quite often gets stuck where the door jam is between the living room and the hallway and the kids will shout about Margaret getting stuck again!
I always say hello to her when she sets of on her morning wander round the downstairs.
