Were you sick in pregnancy with one, both, or neither? Smile

OP posts:
DappledOliveGroves · 05/08/2022 23:10

Vomited multiple times a day for 22 weeks with DD1. Faintly nauseous a couple of times with DD2 but not sick at all.

PicturesOfLily · 05/08/2022 23:12

Both. Like pps, it was worse the first time (hospitalised twice). Second time I got medication early and it was much more manageable.

StepAwayFromGoogling · 05/08/2022 23:13

Hyperemesis with DD1. Not quite as bad with DD2 but not sure if that's because I stopped moving and got medication earlier.

Vilt · 05/08/2022 23:13

3 girls. Hyperemesis leading to hospitalisation with 1 and 3. 2 I was very sick but never actually in hospital

Littleguggi · 05/08/2022 23:13

One

minipie · 05/08/2022 23:16

Neither. Felt nauseous in first trimester with both but never actually sick. Eating plain carbs at first sign of nausea helped.

Sanch1 · 05/08/2022 23:17

I have 3 girls. All completely different.

bottleofbeer · 05/08/2022 23:18

Three boys, one girl. Horrible sickness with first boy and also sick with girl. Two boys caused me no sickness.

loafandleaf · 05/08/2022 23:23

Both, but I threw up more with no. 1, yet no. 2 I felt a lot sicker but only threw up twice for some reason 🤷🏽‍♀️

Diversion · 05/08/2022 23:24

3 girls no morning sickness, 1 boy had morning sickness, outy belly button and the line down the middle of my belly and had a nasty allergic reaction to fish.

Deadringer · 05/08/2022 23:28

First pregnancy was a girl, I was never sick, 2nd was a boy, not sick but felt a lot of pressure, 3rd was a girl, felt a little unwell every day and was sick (vomiting) once or twice a week.

Reigateforever · 05/08/2022 23:32

First and second no not at all but third yes, all day.

tangofandango1 · 05/08/2022 23:50

both but in different ways. more physically sick with first, second not actually being sick but very nauseous 24/7

Krabapple · 05/08/2022 23:58

No sickness with any but horrific heartburn which seemed worse with each pregnancy.

Fraaahnces · 06/08/2022 00:07

You probably don’t want to hear this but I was even waking up at night to hurl all through my pregnancies. (Had H.G. and was on a drip for most of them.) I even threw up on my obstetrician’s shoes when I was being wheeled into theatre when he came too close, thinking I was panicking. (I was, but it was because I knew I was going to be sick - not about the impending c-section that needed to be held off while he was cleaned up, poor guy. He said it was his own fault because I tried to warn him. Such a gentleman!) The good news is that it tends to mean your hormone levels are strong and the pregnancy will be pretty healthy (for the baby at least) - according to my obstetrician. I have to admit that my second pregnancy was (B/G) twins, so that’s not at all uncommon, but my first with DD1 was exactly the same. I sucked on frozen raspberries and sipped tonic water (all I wanted and OB gave me permission.) I ate small quantities of white rice with soy sauce and despite this, put on weight and gave birth to healthy kids that I didn’t have any issues bonding with.

userhjf67 · 06/08/2022 00:15

4 girls, no sickness with any of them at all

BiscoffSundae · 06/08/2022 00:26

I didn’t get morning sickness with any of my kids 2 boys 2 girls

pinksunday · 06/08/2022 00:29

Neither

Sh05 · 06/08/2022 00:41

Neither, but my pregnancy with my boys were the same, no sickness just relentless nausea and heartburn throughout

JoeMaplin · 06/08/2022 00:42

Neither. Was sick with both boys though.

EveSix · 06/08/2022 00:42

Both.

Marvellousmadness · 06/08/2022 01:23

What a nonsensical question

What a nonsensical question

What a pointless reply.

NumberTheory · 06/08/2022 03:57

Mine were twins. I wasn’t sick.

CakeCrumbs44 · 06/08/2022 04:06

Neither
Some nausea for the first trimester but never actually vomited. Both pregnancies were very similar.
