Sitting in the loft in a bag. Over 25 years old. No daughters Etc. It just seems ridiculously sentimental. You know it was nice Etc but it’s just some fabric.

did anyone bin theirs

I donated mine to a charity that makes outfits for stillborn babies. You can find lots of them online. It has to be dry cleaned first.

I am thinking of doing this.

Run it through a machine wash and donate it .. someone might love it !

Mine is 47 years old and lives in the 'dress up' box.
It's entertained our kids, grandkids, and now waiting for the great grandkids.
DH wedding suit is in the wardrobe and used fairly often by older family members for fancy dress parties.
It's white with flared trousers and huge jacket lapels as was compulsory in 1975, so a real gift for would be Elvis impersonators. 😎

I'm turning mine into a quilt. Seen people offer to turn them into teddy bears.

Definitely give it to a charity. Or try Facebook - someone might want to try and alter it or just make use of some of the material.

That’s so lovely! I would have loved that as kid.

I would take accurate measurements and good photos and pop on eBay at a low price. Especially if real silk, hardly any dresses are these days.

Had fun with mine today as DD18 wanted to try it on. She’s a size 8 and it fitted but it was a 1996 size 12 that had been taken in to about a 10.
