to think that Brazilian bikini bottoms/knickers are insanely uncomfortable?

I have mistakenly ordered a bikini with Brazilian bottoms despite having a couple of pairs of Brazilian knickers that I rarely wear as they're so uncomfortable. Now, don't get me wrong, I can see the attraction of a nice cheeky bum on display. But they are sooo frickin' uncomfortable, how does anyone tolerate wearing them for any length of time?! I have a couple of pairs of Brazilian knickers that, to be frank, chafe my crack mercilessly and I only wear them if nothing clean is left in the knicker drawer and I know I'm not going to be walking around that much. But the bikini bottoms, omg! So much material in your crack, they are uncomfortable on another level. I have worn them once on the beach and never again. Is there anyone who thinks they are actually fine to wear? Or do most women just suffer them in order to look sexy?

YANBU = yes, they are insanely uncomfortable
YABU = no, I actually like having tons of unnecessary material chafing my crack and my arse cheeks fully on display

Always buy them a size bigger

SirChenjins · 25/08/2022 09:17

I can't stand them - full knickers or thongs here, not this half-way house type thing where you end up with a wedge of fabric stuck between your cheeks. I've bought my usual size and a size up, and they still ride up.

While we're on the subject, I would also ban those Brazilian swimsuits and bikini bottoms. Arse cheeks on display are not flattering - it's like looking at a baboon's rear end.

@BringMeTea - It’s not all about the make gaze though. I have lesbian friends who wear them, not for any gaze.

It’s a case of what suits one woman, in terms of comfort, may not suit another. We don’t come in a standard shape.

Yanbu

I hate them. Have stopped buying M&S underwear now as all the matching sets have Brazilian knickers which I hate. Why do they put the seams where seams should never be??? 😂

DillonPanthersTexas · 25/08/2022 11:12

Have you got them on the right way round?

I can’t bear the feeling of pants not covering my cheeks or, god forbid, being swallowed by my arse. It’s torture. Also can’t stand any sort of band around my uterus area as it’s usually tender from endometriosis. High-waisted and cheek-covering all the way. Life is too short for uncomfortable pants.

"Life is too short for uncomfortable pants."

Exactly. That's why I choose Brazilian style pants!

And whoever mentioned the awful M&S Brazilian style - just looked them up and you're so right. They're just regular pants.

I have super comfy M&S Brazilian knickers, but the patterned ones are a different shape to the plain black (it's really weird). Patterned are much better! So if your bikini is the same shape as M&S plain black Brazilian knickers, YANBU.

I thought it was just me that found that. I wish they would do the patterned style in plain black

paisley256 · 25/08/2022 12:04

Well I love them. I don't notice I've got them on that's how comfortable I find them. Same with thongs, it doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything. Always get my correct size too.

Crikeyalmighty · 25/08/2022 12:11

I'm afraid at 60 I'm more into my sloggis! Bought 10 pairs when we lived in Copenhagen. I never liked anything that didnt give full coverage - even when a lot younger.

SirChenjins · 25/08/2022 12:41

How do you all stop them bunching up into your bum crack? ConfusedThere's not enough fabric to cover your cheeks, so as you move the fabric moves and settles into the gap.

StarlightLady · 25/08/2022 13:26

The more the fabric the more there is to get caught up where you don't want it to.

Different shapes need different things but to me the average Slogis are little different from a John Lewis fitted bedsheet 😂
