nametaken: "
And apparently teachers can tell which children are going to be the problem ones, simply by looking at the names on the list."

Oh yes indeed - I'm not a teacher but I work a lot with children and after a while you learn... Conors and Ryans are always little brats. Anything-Lee will be a chav. Jacks aren't bad on their own, but should be kept away from the Conors and Ryans.

Blandmum · 18/01/2008 19:53

I couldn't possibly comment geek.....

BecauseImWorthIt · 18/01/2008 19:59

MB - why don't you change your name so we don't know it's you and then post the names that you know are trouble?!

Come on, you know you want to ...

Blandmum · 18/01/2008 20:00

aw, they will all know its me!

BecauseImWorthIt · 18/01/2008 20:03

No, no they won't. Just call yourself something like alienvicar and we won't have a clue. Honestly.

Ubergeekian · 18/01/2008 20:44

It was quite interesting, over the years, to see the Kylies be replaced by the Kayleighs and then, as the name hit rock-bottom, the Kayleigh-Lees. I suspect that there is no recorded instance of a Kayleigh-Lee making it to 16 (a) with a GCSE and (b) without a positive pregnancy test.

Not that I'd be bitchy, oh dear me no.

Ubergeekian · 18/01/2008 20:46

I once heard a very posh North Oxford woman call across a shoe shop to her rather wan and harassed looking ten-year-old "Do hurry up, Orlando."

Poor boy. Poor, poor boy.
