My neighbour shouting her fucking cat all the time.

"FLUFFFFFFFY. FLUFFY. WHERE ARE YOU?? FLUFFFFFYYYYY"

She does it 4 or 5 times a day, top of her pissing lungs, for 5/10 mins at a time until cat shows up.
This can happen until about 11pm

And first thing in the morning.

I've been so close, so many times, to sticking my head out of the window and telling to STFU!

Would IBU to post a note through her door asking her to stop shouting for her cat so loudly, constantly? She's about 4 houses away too!! I've never spoken to her and she's very loud/swear so I wouldn't want to ask her in person.

My kids have started mimicking her voice/catcalling as they hear it so often.

I assume she's shouting her cat anyways...

Mine is slightly deaf and needs medicine twice a day. Getting cats to do what is in their best interests can be a challenge!

Ilovemydog5 · 11/07/2022 15:28

Lol are you in the Midlands? We have a neighbour identical. It's starting to drive me mad! It irritates me in ways I can't explain!!
She's been known to do it at 4am!i didn't know exactly who it was until yesterday, but I was able to overhear her say her address to my neighbour. She will be receiving a letter from me shortly!
She must of shouted the cats name over 100 times yesterday

Ilovesriracha · 11/07/2022 15:31

As pp said, just rattle the dry food container and wait for the Usain Bolt reaction.
Alternatively, get a cat and call it Arsehole 😂

ginghamstarfish · 11/07/2022 15:34

I'd be thrilled if that was all I heard here from the neighbours, instead of 500 fucking dogs barking all day and no owners in sight.

It's really annoying isn't it?!

If it was once a day in the evening fair enough. But it's every hour or so. I don't understand why she needs to cat to come back so often. If it's medicated or something just keep it in?!

You could still tell a 2 year old, don't do that it is rude, every time they impersonate neighbour. How else will they learn not to be rude?

inmyslippers · 11/07/2022 15:41

Sorry I am that neighbour 😆

Fairyliz · 11/07/2022 15:43

She probably hasn’t got a cat she’s wanting to annoy you because your children spend all day in the garden shrieking at the top of their voices. Or is that just my neighbours children?

Heistonabike · 11/07/2022 15:44

Awww, you've reminded me of my dad's lovely neighbour from Iran. Every night we got 15 minutes of "JOHHHHNNNY! Who is my Johnny? Who is Johnny? I miss you my Johnny!" 😂😂😂 She barely spoke a word of English except to call her cat in. Used to send us the most delicious food too.

Courgeon · 11/07/2022 15:46

I call my cats a few times a day. I might do a poll of my street as to what's worse. Me doing that or the loud relentless screeching of kids and dog barking from my neighbours. 5 hours non stop yesterday and will kick in as soon as the kids are home from school today. I dread the summer now as soon as the sun comes out that's it. They never bloody go anywhere!

ManateeFair · 11/07/2022 15:46

I mean, it’s not really that big a deal, is it?

Courgeon · 11/07/2022 15:48

I especially love the way my neighbours dog barks non stop at other dogs, so they invite their friends round every weekend with their dog. And sit in the garden with the dogs barking weekend in, weekend out.

Just shout 'I'm not coming home, you're too needy' every time she does it.

Please do this 😂😂

YANBU (that’s from Fluffy who is quite happily out catching mice and fighting the local tom)

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 11/07/2022 15:49

I hate calling my cat in at night, as I'm concious of annoying the neighbours.
However the night I didn't the neighbour came to tell me he wandered into her bedroom at 4am! Lesser of 2 evils..

KarlWrenbury · 11/07/2022 15:50

Want to call my next cat Jason Derulo just for this

Lindy2 · 11/07/2022 15:50

I can imagine it's a bit annoying but I'd say it's part of living in a community.

You have children so I expect there's plenty of times when the noise from your home can be heard by others too.

AryaStarkWolf · 11/07/2022 15:53

SleeplessInEngland · 11/07/2022 15:12

She doesn't seem to understand how cats differ from dogs.

My cat comes when he hears his name being called 💁

maddiemookins16mum · 11/07/2022 16:07

She clearly has no idea that despite Fluffy hesring her, he’s ignoring her anyway and no amount of her bellowing will change that.

supertedlasso · 11/07/2022 16:19

Yep right on cue loud screeching and screaming ringing through the house. Had to now shut the back door and all the windows. They have friends round too... Joy! This will carry on until at least 8pm so no nice cold glass of rosé in the garden again. At what age do kids stop screeching? These are only a year younger than one of mine and I don't recall mine making such an ungodly relentless noise...

Harridance · 11/07/2022 16:38

How does a cat get into a strangers bedroom?

Harridance · 11/07/2022 16:38

I'm amazed cat's come when they're called, ours never has
