AIBU to think that Sex Education should not be delivered by men who set themselves up as "Sex Education Specialists" and tell teenagers prostitution can be rewarding

The latest horror being reported on in The Times and The Daily Mail, quotes from Safe Schools Alliance:

Lots of examples from BISH which is run by Justin Hancock, includes material on kinks and fetishes ("n a post about “kink”, Bish links to a blog that provides a list of sexual activities including using manacles and irons, whips, swinging and beating) advice to a 14 year old having sex with her boyfriend that "she probably won't get pregnant using the withdrawal method". He failed to mention the relationship was illegal and also suggested lots of lube for anal sex.

Justin charges schools between £500-£600 a day to deliver this so called sex education.

Other examples covered in the story include materials from the Proud Trust advising parents to make play doh models with their children to demonstrate masturbation.

AIBU to think safeguarding has gone out of the window and sex education needs to be regulated with safeguarding principles at the heart?

i do feel like it’s PIE again, although BISH published an article yesterday, presumably in response to being asked for comment on the Mail & Times articles, which effectively makes them impossible for schools to use.

Quite bizarre.
God awful website.
Government put aside a few million for RSE education, usual belief that private sector will provide. Very much mistaken I feel.

Yes and when challenged the DfE sats it's schools jobs to judge resources. They refuse to see the safeguarding failures and the indoctrination

12 years of Tory government.

No. As has been said on a few similar threads recently. It cannot be ne governments fault as thi is a global issue. We, women, ordinary people, organisations, governments as a whole, are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind on this. Something has been happening worldwide, 1st world wide, for years. This is the upshot.

We too our collective eye off the ball once PIE 'disappeared', perhaps!

If you tolerate this, then your children will be next.

Seems their turn has already come.

For those of you wondering what to do - I asked to speak to the PSHE lead at my children’s primary school re the resources used in PSHE education. The Deputy Head (also the PSHE) lead spoke to me for an hour and laid out their lesson plans/ resources. At the time I was concerned about Stonewall resources and what the children might be being taught about ‘wrong bodies’ and gender identities etc. I did not want my children being confused by adult ideologies. I do not want them thinking that stereotypes equate to an innate gendered soul (if you like pink you must be a girl etc). I want them respecting their bodies, their sex and also respecting the boundaries of their female peers.

This stuff being shared in the op is jaw dropping. What justification is there ever for taking this material anywhere near children?

Lots if resources to help talk to your schools here.
