When do you get your payslips?

This is following on from another thread about me not being paid on time.
I can't find any info, but my new employer has told me that payslips "usually arrive a few days after we've been paid."
Just seems very vague, is there a legal requirement surrounding this or is it just whatever the employer feels like?

My partner always gets his same day as his pay for instance

We get ours the same day, usually late afternoon and our pays come in in the evenings

I get mines two days before and so does DH.

Two days before I'm paid.

Payslips should be issued on or before payday.

I issue ours a day or two before pay hits the bank.

The system emails them.

A day or two before, by email. Very occasionally, the same day, if payday is early because of weekends/bank holidays.

Anytime up to a week after we get paid. But I work for a pretty awful company with zero processes in place and both myself and members of my team have just not been paid occasionally and had to chase for our salary 🙄

It depends whether you have online/emailed payslips or whether they are posted out to you (or worse posted out to the company to hand out). Obviously the latter takes longer

Day before

A few days after payday. They get posted out straight from our payroll company.

About 4-6 weeks later when the business owner remembers. Also ignores my request to be paid a pension, which is illegal. Have put in my notice.

Mine is put on the HR system, usually late afternoon on the day before we get paid.

When they get round to paying the money we've earned so up to 2 weeks after pay day....on one occasion I had to ask to be paid because it was a week before the next pay was due and I'd only received half pay

They come by email, usually the day before we are paid.

A few days before, by email. But ours are available on our HR portal a month before - with our basic salary etc, then is adjusted through the month once any overtime/additional payments are noted on the system.

I uploaded ours on to our HR portal on payday.

It’s usually later in the afternoon by the time I get them all uploaded though. If anyone wants a print out, they can just come and ask at any point on payday.

Day before

I work in the NHS and ours are uploaded to a portal 2 days before payday.

The day I am paid via email

I work for the local council and I get mine online about 5 days before payday.

We don't unless we ask , very unprofessional
