To ask people who have COVID right now...

I've come on here to try and find people who are also positive with COVID and massively struggling. The hours are so long and I need to speak to people to keep my mind off the pain and discomfort. I'm 25, have had all my jabs, had it last July too, yet I feel SO unwell. I've barely slept and have been close to tears most of the night.

So - is there anyone else who is stuck in bed with it and would like to chat at points throughout the day on here? Talk about what we are watching, eating, how we are feeling etc?

I need virtual company!

I tested positive on Monday after starting to feel ill on Sunday afternoon. I’m fully vaccinated. I’ve had an awful week, barely able to get out of bed, high fever, could barely swallow.

I’ve also lost my sense of smell and taste which is not fun at all, though I’m trying to tell myself I’m going to use it to lose weight - had no chocolate all week! I’m still absolutely exhausted, I had a chat with my boss about coming back to work on Monday and checked a few emails but after 30 minutes I had to stop and have a nap.

@Jerabilis - when did you lose your sense of taste & smell? I still have mine and just polished off the last of a box of chocolate eclairs!

Sorry to hear so many feeling rough. We've just had it in the house for the second time. Dd and I have been ok. Dh, who escaped it first time, has been sicker than I have ever known him to be in over twenty years (we're over 40!). He got it first and he's still not right but dramatically better than he was. All fully vaxxed. Hope everyone feeling better soon.

I only lost it yesterday so day 4, just as I thought I was starting to recover.

@Jerabilis oh dear - I’m only 3 days in so not out the woods yet. I hope you get yours back soon.

I currently have Covid.

No fever but very runny nose, dry cough, slight headache and generally feeling exhausted.

Unfortunately I have to work from home because I'm having a crazy busy time at work and there's literally no one else I can hand it over to.

Oh and I'm pregnant.

When I'm dosed up on paracetamol and ibrufen I don't feel too bad ,when it's wearing off though I feel terrible.

What is everyone watching? I watched You Don't Know Me last night which I loved although the ending was slightly frustrating!

Been switching between watching old Charmed and Frasier

I've been watching Brian Cox documentaries when my eyes can stand it. Very soothing.

I tested positive on Wednesday. Feeling a bit better today but still got a terrible headache. I’m working my way through Sandra Bullock’s back catalogue of films. Currently on The Proposal.

Trying to watch the tennis this afternoon. Eyes and head so sore though, so mostly just listening to it. That exhausted me so much I fell asleep and missed most of it…

Bella9992 · 08/07/2022 20:46

I tested positive on Tuesday, first time I've had it which I can't believe! Started coughing Monday afternoon and Wednesday and yesterday were really rough. I'm also 7 weeks pregnant so feeling very stressed about that, and the cough and morning sickness are a horrible combo!
Feeling slightly better today, still coughing badly though. Really hoping the end is in sight 🤞.

day 6 now and I had enough energy to have a shower and don't feel like I need to rest my head all of the time.
might even dare to do a load of laundry today.

my nose is very stuffy and sinuses blocked now.

24, had it last week and think I’m over it now but the first 2-3 days weren’t nice, I had fever and chills. Hopefully you’re symptoms ease from here on out!
