Do you think celebrities are on Mumsnet?

I was just imagining Katie Price following the thread about her (not to make this a TAAT). I wonder if well-known people who are often discussed on here would defend themselves without revealing their identity. I think many are; what do you think?

I'm still tickled whenever I see Graham Linehan posting. Probably my fave TV writer. I love the idea of Jennifer Saunders being here, love her to bits!

Onlyforcake · 14/07/2022 10:10

Celebrity is pretty fleeting. Everyone needs a hobby.

everywoman682 · 16/08/2022 18:08

Georgia Tennant for sure. I follow her on Insta and would be really surprised if she's not a mumsnetter. Very sharp, intelligent woman and some of her posts are hilarious. 5 kids between them, her and David Tennant, and she posts a lot about breast feeding, plus other child- related topics.
The only thing that puts me off is her posts about her 'clever ovaries' 'fantastic vagina' etc in the context of pregnancy and birth. I always think that's pretty insensitive and painful for anyone struggling with fertility. She's intelligent enough to know that getting pregnant and pushing a baby out are not things every woman's body is able to do and it's got bugger all to do with cleverness or ability. That aside, she seems great. Can imagine her at mumsnetter meet up.

I have worked with celebs who’ve told me they’re on mn

lollipoprainbow · 16/08/2022 19:35

@everywoman682 she sounds ghastly

sst1234 · 16/08/2022 19:40

Cheryl Tweedy surely is, based on the record time in which that unflattering thread about her got taken down last week.

everywoman682 · 16/08/2022 19:54

@lollipoprainbow those sorts of comments are ghastly I agree. But apart from that she seems great.

Zone2NorthLondon · 16/08/2022 20:43

Cheryl tweedy thread deleted, who has a bad word about the Geordie slugger?

It was deleted faster than you could say night club attendant.

Auntpodder · 04/07/2022 18:49

A tv personality I know is v upfront about checking out reaction on MN after a programme has aired. 'Of course you would, I want to see what people thought of it.'

Possibly thinking of the same one but I'm fairly certain a very lovely Geordie lass with a hugely successful podcast and recent tv show (both with her equally lovely husband) is basically constantly on here...

Geordie pugilist in a lavatory skirmish. Nowt to see here. Take your big hair and sashay elsewhere

littlepeas · 17/08/2022 21:28

I think I spotted Deliciously Ella the other day. Does she count?

Sali Hughes once posted when there was a thread laying into India Knight. She said it was her (I’m assuming it actually was - maybe it wasn’t). That was years ago now.

RaRaRaspoutine · 17/08/2022 21:41

@everywoman682 lmao she sounds in desperate need of a slap. She sounds like she thinks her fanny is special because it’s been near a tv actor its not that uncommon

everywoman682 · 18/08/2022 08:42

@RaRaRaspoutine ha! Maybe a bit of truth in that. Funnily enough, she's got a real feminist thing about her first name and initial being used (she goes apeshit on insta when letters for her have DT's initial rather than hers) yet she changed her name to Tennant on marriage. Obviously the connection to the name of a really famous actor counts for more than the feminist principle!
I do think she sounds fun and I would be amazed if she isn't a mumsnetter but yeah, it's all about DT really

SheSaidHummingbird · 18/08/2022 21:12

What would Liz Truss choose as a username, I wonder?

OP posts:
Ithinkitsenoughnow · 18/08/2022 21:33

Carrie Johnson is probably responsible for 90% of the “useless DH” threads, “is he cheating” DH threads and the “DH has 12 children from 3 different mothers” threads 😃

Why all the hinting, instead of saying who it is?

I hope Rosie is on here. I feel like she'd appreciate my holiday woes!

biscuiteer · 18/08/2022 22:32

Mavis from On The Buses is here. She often posts about her dusty mat and the neighbour's cat stealing her rollers.

MsFogi · 18/08/2022 22:36

llareggub · 04/07/2022 23:43

Caitlin Moran was definitely a member in ye olden days. I think it was an open secret. I was pregnant with my first at the time and he’s now nearly 16, so I suspect she’s long stopped posting.

Oh I wouldn't assume that - it's like The Firm, impossible to leave, I suspect that at some point MN will have more Grandmothers than mothers on it.

CulturePigeon · 19/08/2022 16:20

Why would they be? I imagine they are all much too busy in the real world!
