AIBU - Aldi: How much should this have cost...?

I'm not sure if I should be shocked or I should have realised everything will cost more due to cost of living situation etc and I need to suck it up.

However, Mumsnetter's!

How much do you think the following should have cost?

Small tray of beef pieces
Jar of mango chutney
2 onions
Bag of wonky peppers
3 packets of microwave rice
Small, plastic container
Cheap drinks bottle
Tin of mixed fruits
2 Naan Bread's
Garlic bread
Small tray of Indian bits (bhaji and samosa x2)
Flour
Sugar

One bag of shopping from Aldi. This is also a bit of fun/tongue-in-cheek to help me get over handing over the money when it came time to pay and my daughter needed to unfurl my iron-like grip from my card and put it in the card machine for me while I stood there wondering when are my kids gonna get a job at the ages of 8,9, and 14 and buy me food instead and leave my money alone.

Alas, here I am! So...how much!? Have a guess!

(I didn't get a receipt. Daughter was too busy guiding me out of the store through my veil of tears and catatonic state. I might actually just be a tight-wod!?) Hubby works full-time, I work full-time.

Anyway!

How much!?

(Stffu, Aldi! Stffuuuuuu! hisses)

With your updated food: about £28-£30 and then another £10 for food container and water bottle, so about £40 in total.

As butter was included in the update I’m going
£456.32

£31

Embarrassed22 · 02/07/2022 21:10

£35 (including the stuff you missed)

Sometimes the aisle of wonder things are more expensive than you think. Your box and bottle I've estimated £10 for.

Madcats · 02/07/2022 21:10

I can't see the "aisle of dreams" stuff you bought or the things I'd call "snacky", but I imagine it was "sub-£30"

MyneighbourisTotoro · 02/07/2022 21:11

I’m going to say around £25

SylvanianFrenemies · 02/07/2022 21:11

£18.20

Peonyperfection · 02/07/2022 21:11

Around £20 but depends on how many drinks, size of yogurts ...

Do I win a prize?

CompleteGinasaur · 02/07/2022 21:14

Is this a really devious ad campaign for Aldi, op, or are you coming back to update us at some point?
