Where have all the bananas gone?!

My husband and I have noticed that banana flavoured things seem to have disappeared from shops.

There very rarely any banana milkshake in the fridges, if there’s any banana nesquick it’s the small pot and not the big tubs. Banana yoghurts are rare, banana custard seems to have disappeared… also having trouble finding banana essence.

Have we missed some great banana conspiracy?! Has anyone else noticed this?

I haven’t noticed. But then I hate bananas and never buy anything banana flavoured.

I've not noticed either. I'm content as long as the weekly market stall has them.

Bananas are available in abundance so just eat the real thing

Really! It's my favourite too, take it over chocolate any day. Outside of the UK Nesquik flavours other than Chocolate are like gold dust anyhow - I used to buy it on visits to the UK and fill my suitcase to bring home!

The only other milkshake I'd go for is Raspberry Crusha, but I don't think that's existed for 20 years!

I share your love of banana flavour - and still mourn the disappearance of Crusha banana syrup from the shelves. I'm old enough to remember when it had real banana seeds at the bottom of the bottle so it can't have been that artificial!

Have you tried Hotel Chocolat banana smoothie chocolates? They are gorgeous.

Oh yes Banana Crusha was lovely (we used to be allowed a couple of squirts from the glass bottle as a treat at the weekend)

You lose me at banana and chocolate - I guess I'm a bit fussy, I like to keep it all separate :D

as anyone any idea were the banana drink as disappeared use to buy from Asda but they haven't got any got some from Morrisons but they have not got any this week and the other one they were selling as gone

It's a conspiracy! I blame the invasion of the Minions. They love bananas more than anyone else. Ever since their introduction in Despicable Me, banana flavoured stuffs have declined and since the Minions had their own film, banana flavoured stuffs have almost gone completely. It's the Minions.

Probably because it’s the least favourite flavour nowadays.
