I am not a slave to fashion, but want replace 12 year old sofas. I like the corner sofa look but wonder if it's a fad that will not last?

I've just bought one so they are definitely out of fashion!!

I wanted a big U shaped sofa but ended up with a corner and a 2 seater instead.

There are more that a L shaped with the chaise longue which might suffice?

So you are a slave to fashion then? if you like them get one

This times a million

I do not give a mouse sized shit if the interior of my home is considered fashionable. I buys what I likes and I likes what I buys.

Unless you buy something to perch on in an uncomfortable fashion, it won't be 'on trend'

just buy something you like that's comfortable!!

my issue is not knowing where to buy one that will last. I might end up 'cheep & cheerful' (like ikea) as I'm concerned about spending £££ only for it to not last.

years ago you it was much easier to know if you bought x brand it'll last.

There's nothing wrong with Ikea. Our sofas came from there 20+ years ago. We've replaced the covers a couple of times but the sofas themselves are still going strong. I think Ikea offer a 10 year guarantee on build quality.

We had a corner sofa in the 80s too. I’m not a fan as unless they are huge or you have small people who will curl up to watch tv, you can’t get many people seated. The two adjacent to the corner would be vying for legspace .. .

I have one and absolutely love it, so comfortable.

they are timeless of used in the right space - in my humble opinion.

but over the years people have shoved them into the wrong rooms where they can look odd.

I have never had one - but am renovating and extending my kitchen and the space is just crying out for a corner sofa. Nothing else would work. So a corner sofa it is

Can anyone recommend one they have bought? I am looking at loaf and Willow and Hall. My problem is the fabric options are so limited and I want feather wrapped. The reviews are so varied on line.
